Texas has a high percentage of koolaid-drinkers. They're not a majority, but significant enough to make sure this kind of bill never sees the light of day.
In the late 70s, bitter winters and unemployment in the Northeast drove swarms of Yankees down here. Its never been the same since.

I think by the year 2020 the Hispanic community will be the dominant force and things will only get worse. I would really hate to leave Texas as I was born in Texas and lived in Texas all my life except the four years I was in the navy but I think our culture will change immensely, except I wouldn't know where to move that will not be facing some type of problems of its own.
