Why the hell would we want to do that? I’ve got to put up with enough leftist bullcrap as it is.
SNL nails it. The only thing worse than a white guy pretending to “talk black” is Michael Steele doing it.
This is a general interest list. We cover everything from the sublime to the ridiculous.
If you want on or off this ping list, please FReepmail me.
Next you know Colin Powell will be his Zombie
Out of curiousity, I wondered why a Freeper would post that. I’m still baffled. As I thought, it was humorless leftwing propaganda taken straight from the desk of Rahm Emmanuel.
Check out the Active bit they did...replete w/a Jamie Lee Curtis...discussing her regularity. Oh my...it was quite funny. And accurate (that stuff is nuclear).
Actually that was damn funny.
Steele has got to go.
As Borg Drones, they don’t have to do that.
CAN we get one of those for SCREWBALL and OVERBITE??
Well said.
You mean, this is funny in the way they mocked Sarah Palin. Or, is it “funny” in the way Jon Stewart mocks everything conservative? Or is it funny because they easily picked up and dramatized the DNC talking points? I don’t get it. But I’m sure they will have a biting satirical Obama skit soon, right? Right?
I wonder when/if they will do any skits showing the absolute ineptitude of the entire Obama administration? They have been providing a target rich environment. But I’ll bet SNL hasn’t touched any of it. The gifts issue alone would have been worth an entire show if Bush was still President.
I do not always post stuff I agree with. I don’t always succeed, but I try to post stuff that is interesting and provocative.
As it is, there’s some disagreement on this thread.
I’m down with that.
“The Republican Party has been controlled by older white men for a hundred years,” says the pseudo-Steele, before getting buzzed again.
Yeah, sure, and Obama is the new Abe Lincoln.
Look, for a hundred years, most blacks turned to the Republican party for help, and the southern Democrats were racists. Bull Connor was not a Republican.
I must admit that although I don’t think much of Steele, I thought this skit was pretty stupid and repulsive.
**Actually that was damn funny.
Steele has got to go.**
What makes it funny to most of us, is that the idiot Leftists actually believe that this is how it is.
To the idiot LIBS ... If Rush had that button, there would be a dozen libs in Congress, 3 in the Senate..and One Liberal in every Museum ... to remind us how STUPID you people actually are.
What made it funny to me is how whiny Steele is.
In fact I havent heard bupkis from any of our party.
Solid
Steele IS Kinda Whiny..
his head would explode if he had to agree with RUSH..
but the LIBS think that’s the way things are .. kinda...
Es posts alot of good stuff He is a good freeper
Precisely!!
Why are we so uptight? Are we going to protest this silly skit lampooning Steele as he made such a rapid apology the very next day after condemning Rush? This could just as easily be mocking the dem’s belief that Rush is the man behind the curtain controlling the GOP.
Still, less sophisticated people who watch these shows do get their impressions of the significance of the news and their perceptions on “the ways things are” are ill-served by this kind of repeated portrayal of the GOP.
The skit in the same show called “The Rock Obama” (where Obama turns into the Hulk - played by the Rock as he gets angry with Republicans) was pretty fair. That one had the Republicans pointing out simple faults with Obama’s recovery plan that anyone with a brain would concur with...and Rahm Emmanuel was goading Obama to “get angry” “feel the rage” and react to the Republicans. Obama turns into the Rock and throws the GOP delegation out the oval office window.
Sort of indicates (to me anyway) that Obama’s policies are ridiculous and defending them can only be done by becoming physically enraged. This skit also underscored that’s Rahm’s preferred debate format as well (turns out the whole “The Rock Obama” was his dream and not reality anyway as Obama refused to get angry).
There was also a skit about Geithner not having any ideas and offering a $410b prize to anyone who had a workable solution to ‘fix’ the economy. Made the dems look unqualified, desperate and over their heads...so...the whole show taken as a sum - fairly balanced. (Can’t believe I am saying that after the election treatment of the GOP candidates).
Having said the above, I get your point. The consequences of voting the way Pop Culture seems to encourage those less informed than we are clearly dire.
So, this joke of an administration is wearing thin, and will continue to do so. Even Whoopi Goldberg gets it.
That’s funny because there is nothing in Activa that isn’t in regular yogourt except you pay a $1 more for it and it has a different name! :)
Why would any Conservative give SNL a hit, after the elections? No really... why?
BHOle and the libtards have boosted Rush’s audience by MILLIONS.
Let SNL joke around, as long as they keep saying the words “Rush Limbaugh!”
The only time the media reports “what” Rush Limbaugh “says” is when they make it up. Fake But Acurate 2.0.
