“to offer people protection from providers of goods and services”

That phrase alone captures the mooching, looting, entitlement philosophy so well portrayed in Atlas.

“Consumer activists” somehow are able to use that phrase with a serious face.

This could lead to the elimination of pictures throughout the EU.

I think Europe has gone through this one before, as has the Middle East.
