"Punishing senators who supported stimulus is absolutely on the table"

That's nice. Now resign.

With socialized medicine and expanded government: in a word, depravity and/or insanity.

> Steele: Punishing senators who supported stimulus is ‘absolutely on the table.’

And it took him only how many weeks to come to this decision on possible punishment??

Pathetic.

“Steele: Punishing senators who supported stimulus is ‘absolutely on the table.’”

That’s fine... But, to reduce the number of future RINOs that end up in congress, he needs to get rid of open primaries. I don’t know who decides that, but I imagine the head of the NRC should have significant influence!!

seeking retribution is taking the low road. What it should be doing as an organization is seeking the best candidates for office and allowing those candidates an even shot in the primaries.

If the GOP were an organization serious about principle, neither current Pennsylvania senator would be sitting in office today. Santorum sold his political soul for the good-ole-boy’s club in endorsing Spector over Toomey in the primary and got the conservative turnout he deserved when he lost to Casey.

Steel did not compare GOP to Nazis and you know that.

If you don’t like Steele because he is black and a devout Catholic just say so

Your type, the DU trolls and third party loons really hate America

I agree, but McCain’s victory is the exception.
-— However, the Party did not take an official stand in the Primary, either.
Things might have been worse if the Party had not been, officially, neutral.

It is both IMHO. An illness borne of selfishness and a disease of society.

‘absolutely on the table.’

This is an oxymoron.

Is it "absolutely" or is it "on the table?"

"Absolutely" means it is a done deal -- they will be punished.

"On the table" means that it is a candidate for negotiation.

"Absolutely on the table" means that it is a candidate for negotation, I really mean it.

No more words. Let's have some action.

No, he did not.But he also did a piss poor job of refuting that stand put forth by D.L. Hughly. I heard the Laura Ingraham interview. Steele is beyond pathetic and proof that race, once again, trumps all.

State legislators control the laws that govern the primaries n each state. In states where Democrats control the state legislatures, some Republicans have challenged these state laws in court...and lost.

I don’t care for Steele, but it’s about time renegades like Spectre, Snow and Collins paid some price for their treachery. I don’t care what he does to them, just as long as it hurts.

You're right.

From the article:

UPDATE: RNC Spokesman Alex Conant says there's no retribution coming: "The RNC has no interest in getting involved in primaries."

He didn’t refute it at all; he nodded and agreed.

If he had a shred of self-respect he wouldn’t have shown up for work the next day.

The egos on these people would never allow that thought to be entertained.
