Anyone know the status of the communist-inspired "...largest mass civil disobedience for the climate in U.S. history" (sic) by the socialist at "Capitol Climate Action"?
I saw comments on Twitter that it's been cancelled due to the big March snowstorm here in tropical and globally warming DC, but the rather secretive Communist Climate Action web site says:

Snow is no wet blanket
Monday, March 2nd, 2009
Were up and at em here at headquarters. We pushed through the snow, got into the office early, and immediately started taking phone calls from media wanting to know if the event is still on. Of course its still on! We expect 2,500 dedicated activists to stand tall at the Capitol Power Plant and demonstrate that the course of history bends toward progress. Make sure to follow the day right here as it unfolds.
Dont forget you can email me or leave comments on the web site. My email is dkessler@greenpeace.org.
Meanwhile, heres some interesting reading for you as you sip your coffee.
I'm impressed with these heros, risking their lives in heavy snow and facing a danger of getting stranded in tonight's record cold for DC, all to save us from global warming.
Koolaid drinkers unite!
Somebody was really bored!
That’s not snow, it’s water that has undergone a molecular state change due to globull warming.
Uh, I don’t see any snowpeople of color there. Racism.
Actually, I'd carved that section of environmental concern out just for Freepers ~ but, alas, these creeps want to horn in on our action.
We may well be winning the debate though.
The deal is DROUGHT is most often brought about by COOL, DRY WEATHER, not by HOT, MUGGY WEATHER, or even HOT, DRY WEATHER.
Remember that, Drought is usually caused by cool, dry weather, and you get plenty of that during a sunspot minimum ~ that's 'cause the amount of energy (aggregate amount at all electromagnetic frequencies, not just visible light) reaching the Earth drops like a rock and we start freezing to death in the dark.
People like dkessler@greenpeace.org usually don't like for you to know about that part ~ the cool and dry conditions ~ because that's the opposite of the story they're trying to sell. Unfortunately, cool and dry weather, called droughts, have killed hundreds of millions of people around the world over the last two centuries.
That's "hundreds of millions" killed ~ and right now we have a major drought in the Middle East (that's been going on a couple of years), drought in Australia so bad the country has caught fire, drought in California (they've declared a drought emergency there and are beginning to ration water), drought in Argentina (second year), drought in China's wheatbelt, Drought in the US SE, Drought in Texas, Drought in the Mid-Atlantic, Drought in New England, Drought in the intermountain West, Drought in Western Europe, Drought in North Africa, Drought in tropical Africa (relative to normal conditions), and on and on and on.
The whole world is in drought or the conditions immediately preceeding a drought.
National economies are crashing, people are already suffering severe malnutrition. Shortly we will have millions and millions of starving people and even the United States will be unable to supplement the need.
Uhh, typical of an Ice Age you get a lot of cool, dry weather! The precipitation doesn't increase ~ the problem is the ice stops melting and there's this big buildup that happens over time, and next thing you know Chicago is pulverized!
all the snow we have left here in Buffalo is dark and dirty - mostly un-ballable ice now. wouldn’t make good snow folks...

Check it out:
One gathers from the links that the Capitol Climate Action blogger attributes the droughts to global warming. But thats a pretty dumb unpersuasive argument to make on a snowy day in Washington at the end of an unusually cold winter.
Meanwhile, the increasingly erratic James Hansen of NASA issues a call to action against coal in a video posted at the blog, headlined, Dr. James Hansen on coal, civil disobedience.
For those brave souls in DC, dont forget the pro-coal demonstration intended to remind the public (and, hopefully, their surrogate, the media) about the positives of inexpensive access to domestic energy. Sheesh it shouldnt be so much work to point out the obvious.
THAT explains the worst snowstorm in the Mid Atlantic in over six years.

GORE HEARING ON WARMING MAY BE PUT ON ICE
Mon Jan 26 2009 17:59:26 ET
Al Gore is scheduled before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee on Wednesday morning to once again testify on the 'urgent need' to combat global warming.
But Mother Nature seems ready to freeze the proceedings.
A 'Winter Storm Watch' has been posted for the nation's capitol and there is a potential for significant snow... sleet... or ice accumulations.
"I can't imagine the Democrats would want to showcase Mr. Gore and his new findings on global warming as a winter storm rages outside," a Republican lawmaker emailed the DRUDGE REPORT. "And if the ice really piles up, it will not be safe to travel."
A spokesman for Sen. John Kerry, who chairs the committee, was not immediately available to comment on contingency plans.
Global warming advocates have suggested this year's wild winter spells are proof of climate change.

March 7, 2007 --- A Congressional subcommittee meeting on Energy and Air Quality Hearing on "Climate Change: Are Greenhouse Gas Emissions from Human Activities Contributing to a Warming of the Planet?" was cancelled due to a snow advisory. "A SNOW ADVISORY MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW WILL CAUSE PRIMARILY TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR SNOW COVERED ROADS AND LIMITED VISIBILITIES...AND USE CAUTION WHILE DRIVING."
Recall that greenhouse hypothesis maintains that warming due to increases in the greenhouse effect is anticipated to be greatest in the winter.
