...WHILE ROLLING IN THEIR CASH (Frank, Kerry, Rangel, Schumer, Rahm got TARP fund kickbacks?)

...WHILE ROLLING IN THEIR CASH

March 1, 2009

Meanwhile, if Frank, Kerry & Co. truly want to do something about wasteful spending by banks that got TARP money, maybe they ought to look at their own campaign donations.

And then give some of it back. (Right.)

According to the Center for Responsive Politics, a nonpartisan research group that tracks political giving, banks that got TARP funds spent more than $114 million on 2008 lobbying and campaign contributions. Since 360 institutions got bailout funds, that averages nearly $320,000 a pop. Even last fall, as the banks begged for handouts, they still managed to find bread to stuff into the pols' poor-boxes.

Indeed, FEC records show that after TARP's creation in September, Citigroup's political action committee gave about $77,000 to candidates (not counting donations by top brass on behalf of the bank).

Bank of America gave nearly $100,000; Goldman Sachs, nearly $140,000.

All three donated heavily to members of the House and Senate committees responsible for passing TARP and influencing how funds are doled out. New York pols did well, too: The banks gave nicely to now-Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand and Reps. Gary Ackerman, Charlie Rangel, Gregory Meeks and Nydia Velazquez, among others.

Now-White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel netted a few thousand bucks. New York senior Sen. Chuck Schumer's Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee bagged $15,000 in Goldman Sachs money in November.

And guess who else fed at the Goldman post-TARP trough?

Yup: John Kerry and Barney Frank.

It could probably be shown by facts and figures that there is no distinctly native criminal class except Congress.

I’ll bet a lot of TARP money makes it in to the hands of our ruling elite aka masters.

Be interesting to see who actially ends up with those ear marks.

Well take a look at who runs most of these firms getting TARP money. They were all run by big time Democrats. The entire Fanny and Freddy organizations were an extension of the DNC.

HOW DARE THESE POLITICIANS THAT ARE TAKING OUR MONEY SUCK DOWN A HUGE SIDE POT FOR THEMSELVES BY ACCEPTING DONATIONS FOR THEIR CAMPAIGN COFFERS

! THE BANK THAT TAKES TARP AND CONTINUES TO PAY FOR LOBBY SERVICES NEEDS TO RETURN THE TARP MONEY-ANY BANK.

AND EVERY POLITICIAN THAT GARNERED MONEY FROM TARP NEEDS TO STEP DOWN. PERIOD.

THIS IS INSANE.

THIS CANNOT STAND!

DEMOCRATS ARE THE FILTHIEST, GREEDIEST, NASTIEST DIRTBAGS our nation has to offer.

Due to the total lack of TARP oversight banks were...

...because the CEO'S of Elitist Banker Incorporated.....

...were too busy transpiring large amounts of TARP tax dollars overseas, converted into Euros & Swiss Francs then deposited into their pre-arranged offshore accounts.

Goldman's Paulson began this elitist slush fund and Obama's arch-tax cheat Geithner is making sure Banker Incorporated continue getting their cut, while the public gets shafted.

Did the bankers also ask for a refund of all the campaign contributions they gave these self righteous political hacks?
