The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit reversed a ruling Wednesday that held a Montana church in violation of the law for speaking about the state's marriage amendment.
Attorneys with the Alliance Defense Fund (ADF) filed a lawsuit in 2004 after the Montana commissioner of political practices investigated Canyon Ferry Road Baptist Church, following a complaint by a homosexual activist group. The group claimed the church was required to register as a political committee in order to speak about the marriage amendment.
So the peace and tolerance crowd does not want the church to respond to a full scale assault on morals by claiming when the church speaks out on morals and how they impact government it is somehow wrong.
The judgment of God will be coming against a people who abandons all sense of right and wrong. If we continue to flaunt this reality as a nation we will be humbled.
Since there are political campaigns centered around such diverse issues as lying, stealing, killing, adultery etc. Perhaps it would be best if the churches just shut up and not say a word. Is that what the sodomites and the Left want? Of course it is, but their enablers will never say it out loud.
Fantastic decision and it should be waved in the face of every nervous ninny preacher and priest who has told me over the years, "Oh no, that's political I can't talk about that...."
I hope God is merciful it's just 'humbled' .... the way we're headed, I'm thinking more 'destroyed'.

We are way passed that point. The Lord's mercy has delayed the complete punishment, but it is coming.
I know, unbelievable.
If I have time I'll try to find the the actual written decision on this. For one, the dissenting opinions are guaranteed to be a hoot.
