When it comes to important national issues, 73% of adults nationwide trust the judgment of the American people more than that of America's political leaders.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey found that just 13% place more trust in the judgment of the politicians.

Twenty percent (20%) of Democrats trust America's political leaders more than the American people, the highest level of support for the politicians found among any measured demographic group. But 63% of Democrats trust the general public more.

Among Republicans, 83% trust people more than politicians as do 76% of those not affiliated with either major party.

Eighty-one percent (81%) of entrepreneurs have more trust in the people, a view shared by 75% of private sector employees.

Government workers are a bit less enthusiastic when it comes to the wisdom of the American people, but 61% of those on the public payroll trust the public more than the pols.

Adults under 30 are a bit more willing to trust the people while those over 65 are a bit less likely to do so. [snip]

Congress under Dems had an 11 percent approval rating in the last election and still won. Our California legislature has a 13 percent approval rating yet passes tax after tax and will be relected.

How do these two numbers square up when “the people” normal Americans an never getting elected to office to replace the politicians. Just look at the attacks by the media on anyone that tries.

Someone obviously didn’t note the percentages in the last election.

To quote the great P.J. O’Rourke:
“The Democrats are the party that says government will make you smarter, taller, richer, and remove the crabgrass on your lawn. The Republicans are the party that says government doesn’t work and then they get elected and prove it.”

I think there is massive cheating going on during elections because reelecting these fools with such low approval numbers just doesn’t add up.

from your link -

But, bleak as those assessments are of politicians, CEOs of large corporations are viewed even less favorably than members of Congress. Two-thirds of voters believe that big government and big business typically work together in ways that harm American voters and consumers.

I think it says it all.It is time for a change, and not they type Obama and crew are thinking of. We have let our elected officials become corrupt by letting them stay in office too long, they have sold out those who they work For, "us." Yes, I think change is coming, it is in the air and nearly everywhere people gather. We AMERICANS must say enough! cease and desist your corruption, leave office or you will be forced to leave. This is our country, many before and even now give their lives for this country. It is ours, and ours to lose. I am an AMERICAN, I will stand my ground and I will not back down! The Constitution of the United States must remain intact, unchanged. Once we give up our rights we become slaves to the state. Time is nearly at hand when you and I will have to chose where we stand. With the opressors or for a free America.

I only trust about 50% of the people. The problem is that our 49-53% (debatable) are diluted across the country. 5 out of 8 people age 30 and under voted for Hussein. If you listened to Hannity’s show live from Penn Station yesterday, it demonstrated the fact that my generation (X) and those that follow have been completely indoctrinated through public education to such an extent that they embrace Marxism without even recognizing it.

Thanks to revisionism and omission of our history, they don’t know what communism is. These “drones” in college now (as Mark Levin calls them) spell the death of this Republic. They do not remember the Berlin Wall coming down. They do not remember “the evil empire” and that there was actually a REASON why Reagan referred to it as such.

In the 1860’s the split was more geographical; now it is more age.

Obama may well be JUDGEMENT on America for turning our back on “the laws of nature and nature’s God”. If he is Judgment, he is not sent by God - but rather ALLOWED to be leashed upon us as God removed His protection that had been upon us for 200+ years until we officially KICKED Him out.
