What Are They Thinking Now?

Republicans who endorsed Barack Obama include:

Christopher Buckley - Conservative columnist (and son of National Review founder William F. Buckley) on why he supported and would vote for Obama:

As for Senator Obama: He has exhibited throughout a "first-class temperament". ....

I've read Obama's books, and they are first-rate. He is that rara avis, the politician who writes his own books. Imagine. ...

...having a first-class temperament and a first-class intellect, President Obama will (I pray, secularly) surely understand that traditional left-politics aren't going to get us out of this pit we've dug for ourselves. If he raises taxes and throws up tariff walls and opens the coffers of the DNC to bribe-money from the special interest groups against whom he has (somewhat disingenuously) railed during the campaign trail....

He is, it seems clear enough, what the historical moment seems to be calling for.

Susan Eisenhower - former President Eisenhower's granddaughter.

... Obama is the only candidate who can build a national consensus on the issues most important to her-energy, global warming, an aging population and America's standing in the world. "Barack Obama will really be in a singular position to attract moderate Republicans," she told NEWSWEEK.

Joe Scarborough - Former GOP congressman

Ronny Reagan Jr., the granddaughter of Ike, the son of Buckley... yawn. They aren't relevant political minds and certainly not Conservatives. They are merely kids of Conservatives. Since when is it hereditary?

Just tells us that we shouldn't judge a great Conservative by their children's actions and thoughts.

As for Slow Joe Scare-Bureau... he is a nothing.

I’d rather a competent moderate president.

Now there is an assumption too far.

The man speaks oxymoron with gusto.

and to call thinking, a vote for Obama, really does thinking a disservice.

I am wondering too what these morons are thinking now. The only way we are going to know is if they tell us! They weren't shy about it before, so why be silent now?

Considering all that has happened, I would ask them: Do you believe that McCain would have done the same?

The one big reason Zero even got elected is because dumbass lotes put us in these kind of impossible voting positions! Thank goodness conservatives stayed home! It doesn't matter if McCain would have done any of this because it's the voting block which bows to stupidity of the ZERO policy. The GOP/RNC gave us this charlatan. In two years this country will be in such shambles ZERO will be hoping he never was even in the public eye!

If you could assure me that the combination of ACORN and the amnesty of 12 million illegals who will be signed up as voters by ACORN will not have an effect in 2010 then I will do the happy dance. If you cannot assure me of this, then all this talk of 2010 and beyond is wasted. Welcome to President for Life Obama land.

Welcome to President for Life Obama land.

Why would you assert such an asinine thing? You don't think people like me and other would ever let that happen before all hell would break loose? The next civil war is coming, now it's just a question of when?

I'll believe it when I see Obama out of office either at the end of 4 or 8 years. Otherwise, yes, he will be there for life.
