A professor from Kuwait, the country liberated from Saddam Hussein's attack squads by the United States in the first Gulf War, has outlined on Arab television a potential terror attack that would involve smuggling anthrax from Mexico into the U.S. and killing 330,000 people in 60 minutes.

I would suggest it might be wise to look at the activity of Anthrax spores, to see if this is even possible.
I’m not sure a that large a body of people could be exposed to the degree that they could be killed in less than 60 minutes.
It may be possible, but I think it’s questionable.
Why don’t these people spend their energy making their crappy little countries better places to live rather than trying to tear our country down?
They could certainly expose that many in a large city during some big event but I don’t believe anthrax kills that quickly.

You’d have to have a very large public event IMO. One of those Obama love fests might accomplish it, but even a sporting event generally doesn’t gather enough people for over 300,000 to be a target.
I agree with your comment regarding quick mortality too.
Cipro can be administered to people to counter the exposure too.
Besides, even when you have a large event, you have to disburse the product. The weather and wind are factors. It’s not that easy to spread it around.

I’m more concerned about something like ricin in food. Speed really doesn’t matter as much as mortality and an ability to distribute it.

This guy sounds like a clown, however, I have no doubt that a clever enough bass turd has or could smuggle enough anthrax across the border that, if properly disseminated in a 60 minute period, would result in the death of over 300,000.

I think an antedote to ricin has been developed but it needs to be administered quickly and has a very limited effectiveness. I think the mortality rate would still be well over 75%.
I read an article that terrorists are now going hi-tech. Using the Mumbai group as an example.
I’m surprised to hear it, but glad none the less. I would have guessed the mortality rate to be close to 100%.

Not possible really. It takes many hours to become fatal. I think if you are treated within 6 hours you will most likely survive. It falls off after each hour.
That anthrax would have to be dispersed and over quite a large area to affect that multitude of people.
Ricin is a toxin while anthrax is a biologic.
I’d imagine it would depend on the exposure amount. A weapons grade attack would have symptoms showing fairly quickly.
