I take it you are the spokesman for the local GOP? R, take a careful read of my about page and try to figure out what I used to do. Then consider rethinking the “wussy” comment.

He speaks the truth, and he isn’t afraid to speak the truth. He’s a voice in the desert. I am gaining more respect for him every time I hear him.
If everybody stood up for our country like he does, we would not be in the mess we are in!

Well, when I warned my liberal acquintances about Obammie the Commie before the election, I know they marked me as a crazy loon. I couldn't have cared less.
Now, I must look to at least some of them to be the Delphic Oracle.

He DID work as a ward pimp and street hustler, but it was always for himself because he had his eye on a larger prize. His adult ideology was shaped by the communists, socialists, leftists, liberals, radicals and revolutionary bombers he studied and associated with.

Alan Keyes is no nutcase, the people who believe Obama are the nutcases, are you one of them? Alan Keyes is a man of great courage who speaks the truth that many are too timid to face. The evil of Obama is obvious to all who are willing to look at it but some, like you, find it easier to live in a fantasyland in which Alan Keyes is a nutcase.
We would have done infinitely better to have elected Alan Keyes as the first black president rather than the mongrel pretender who now occupies the office.
What he says is right on target. It’s the bizarre and egotistical way that he often comes across when he speaks.

I find him rather mild mannered next to Obama! I have never heard Keyes say anything as absurd as Obama’s promise to defeat poverty, disease and climate change. I don’t think he has ever come close to that one.
Keyes does seem to display righteous anger, something for which I believe the time is overdue.
I read through much of K’s posting history and he has an extremely narrow viewpoint of things.
One of the issues facing Cons is reconciling our differences so that opposition to the new ruling party can have any chance of succeeding.
We are facing the birth and growth of totalitariansim and fascism right here in our country. Keyes is demonstrating the courage of his convictions when he gives voice to opposing that.

Where did I criticize anything Keyes has said? I referred to his manner of delivery. He comes across as an ego maniac. This no doubt turns a lot of people off on him.

That's not news to me, AFAIC the United States as I once knew it has been pretty much over since 1992, and was sick in bed for four years prior to that. I had high hopes at first that Bush 43 would get it back on track after it being derailed for 8 long years, but if he ever made a serious attempt to actually restore the old Republic to it's former self I guess I wasn't watching close enough that day to notice.
Maybe I'm being too hard on him. I think his heart was close to being in the right place and he was very strong on pro-life issues. He and the Pubs in Congress just didn't have what it would have taken to get past the liberal Democrat's blockade of anything that was proposed in Congress that would have been good for the nation.
Alan Keyes is a man of principle.
Alan Keyes is the only conservative constitutional lawyer in the media today. He actually identifies with the Constitution. There's a place for people who don't believe in the US Constitution, it's called "somewhere else". The military identifies with the Constitution as do millions of other Americans, do you consider them insane as well?

Yes and Eve in this political enviroment would have also been called “crazy” if she didn’t take the fruit as well.
You see being seen as “crazy” in this context means your aren’t “like the gods, knowing good from evil”. Evil’s most effective weapon has never been co-ercive force per se but rather massed public opinion and social peer pressure. Force comes after the fact when you want to eliminate potential “firey revolutionary types” who might be able to sway the populace back to a more rational point of view.
Keyes scares a lot of folks because of his emotional passion. Patric Henry would have scared folks the same way in this day and age. Their type of passion is now a days considered “too intense” and on the verge of “irrational”,too confrontational and too angry” even though at the core of their arguements, logic rules. Patton was also one of these types of folks, colorful and profane but with a focus blazing with purpose.
When the excrement really hits the fan, we are going to need their like again. “Cool” collected “process people” who are good with manipulating managerial levers but who have no core faith or vision can not save this Republic. Only men and women of iron faith and conviction can help with the power of God Almighty!
Keyes is a black man that should make too many complacent whites feel ashamed of them-selves!
