Tuesday's Sacramento summit on a possible new state constitutional convention is picking up some interesting support, including the William C. Velasquez Institute, a think tank on Latino affairs. "The disastrous state of California's government is of concern to us all," according to a news release from the institute, which is based in Texas and has offices in California and Florida.
"Within a generation, Latinos will soon be the majority in California and, as such, we have a vested interest in California's future."

Santa Anna would be proud.
And JUST how many legal?? Thanks to Bush ,McCain ,Kennedy, and that sawed off Gonzales
Latinos: Your stinking laws do not apply to us.
It’s interesting how responsible groups never see themselves as responsible for problems:
Mexican nationalists think they could/should take over the American Southwest, and the only thing that would change is the flag. In reality, it would become the same sewer that is northern Mexico.
Islamists think they could run the US, and only the religion would change.
Liberals think they can move out of the cities/states they have already trashed, go to a unspoiled (conservative) area, implement liberal policies and make the place better.

Translation: We want someone to pay for us making California a Third World nation before we take it over.
Sounds like another racist Hispanic Ku Klux Klan type of group....they want the state constitution changed so that they can bring more of their illegal alien relatives in
“In reality, it would become the same sewer that is northern Mexico.”
Too late.
What is a Colonia? THE THIRD WORLD IN THE USA

Among the border states, Texas has the largest number of colonias approximately 1,800 communities, with more than 500,000 residents. Sixty-five percent of all residents, and 85% of residents under the age of 18, were born in the United States. (aka Anchor babies) These Americans live in extreme poverty and often are unaware of the services that the United States and Texas can provide for them. Education is a key to addressing the problems faced by colonia residents, but reaching out to these communities poses unique challenges that require unique approaches.
Ninety-eight percent of the residents are Hispanic and speak little or no English.
I wholeheartedly agree - one in five southern Californians are on welfare/aid of some sort - up from one in nine just 10 years ago. For hispanics to decry California's economy as a disaster, while encouraging their own members in increasing numbers to feed from the state teets while willfully violating state and federal laws, is the height of hypocrisy.
Calif citizens are being entitlement-taxed to death. To allow the largest welfare (and welfare-encouraging) group to have the most significant voice during a con-con summit will be disastrous for the state taxpayer and the state as a whole (not to mention the nation). No good can come from hispanic control of a California Con-con summit when that control is focused on subversing the state to self-serving, tunnel-vision goals that seek to serve only one part of the population - the welfare part, and one goal - erradication of other-than-hispanic Americans from California. imo.
