Conservatives Get Their Mojo Goin'

Flopping Aces reports that dispirited conservatives are beginning to peer past the sheet of political rain. Maybe its because the rest of the country is catching a clue about diasterous porkulus bill. Millions of people have begun the awakening.
It is apparent to not just conservatives, but Republican party faithful that the dopes at the White House are clearly winging it.
As for those turncoat Republicans who supported the porkulus bill and stood with Obama in selling out the nation...well, it got ugly in Pennsylvania. Its about time. KDKA reports Turncoat Caucus Sen. Arlen Specter was met with jeers at a Pa. press conference. Michelle Malkin says "Betrayal of core fiscal conservative principles has consequences."
U.S. Sen. Arlen Specter was greeted with jeers at a press conference in Cranberry Township. Conservatives are fuming after Specter cast the deciding vote that led to the passage of President Barack Obamas stimulus plan. Specter, 79, acknowledges his run for re-election will be tough. He says hes not completely happy with Obamas plans but he points out that he was able to cut the price tag by over $100 billion and he says he was able to increase the amount of tax cuts. Even so, Specter acknowledges the Republican Partys conservative wing will attempt to unseat him in next years primary race.
Maybe Sen. Specter can dial up the president, who can stroke his ego and call him a patriot again to make him feel better

From one of the links in the above article:
Rick Santelli spoke on CNBC from the floor of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange suggesting a "tea party" to protest the outlandish mortgage bailout that many people believe rewards bad behavior.
WATCH THE VIDEO!
After you watch the video, please visit the
ReTea Party website
and pledge your support. Santelli says there WILL BE a tea party on July 4, 2009, and all patriots are invited to attend. The three locations are in LA, Chicago and Boston. Pledge to attend if you can!
An excerpt from
the NY Daily News
, in case you can't watch the video:
"The government is promoting bad behavior," Santelli said of President Obama's $75 billion initiative to refinance mortgages.
"I have an idea," he said on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange floor.
"How about this, new President and new administration, why don't you put up a Web site to have people vote on the Internet ... to see if we really want to subsidize the losers' mortgages.
"Or would we like to at least buy cars and buy houses in foreclosure and give them to people who might have a chance to actually prosper down the road... reward people who could carry the water instead of drink the water."
Santelli then turned to the traders.
"How many of you people want to pay for your neighbor's mortgage that has an extra bathroom and can't pay their bills?" he asked as boos filled the air.
"President Obama," Santelli continued. "Are you listening?"
"We're thinking of having a Chicago Tea Party in July," Santelli said.
Santelli told the Daily News only a handful of the 700 e-mails he got were negative.
About the tea party: "I was half-serious, but given the response, I think something is going to have to be done in a very serious way."
Guns won't work. The government would put down an armed rebellion quite quickly. There is no doubt about that. The only successful rebellion will be through non-violent protest using voices and dollars to pressure our government to listen to the people!
Chuck Schumer says about voters, "they don't care
".
Our President is afraid of us.

In other words, the chickens are coming home to roost...and Republicans are just coming home. After flirting with bi-partisanship, and good wishes for America's first African-American President, the GOP is beginning to understand that the Democrats under Obama's leadership are bankrupting this country. And setting us up for decades of graft, corruption, and incompetent decision-makers. The Washington Post details the new polling here. "...A new CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll sheds some interesting light on this subject. The survey found that 53 percent of respondents thought that the stimulus would improve economic conditions, while 44 percent thought it wouldn't. Looking deeper, CNN's polling director says, "Nearly nine in 10 Democrats favored the plan, while three-quarters of Republicans thought it was a bad idea." Seen in that light, maybe the congressional GOP's nearly complete opposition to the measure isn't so surprising; their constituents are overwhelmingly opposed to the bill. And the partisan split is also growing in opinions of Obama. The same CNN survey found that the president's approval rating among Republicans "dropped from 50 percent in early February to 31 percent now." (Democrats remain pleased with their man, giving him 92 percent approval). A Fox News/Opinion Dynamics poll released yesterday showed a similar trend; over the last three weeks, Obama's approval rating went up 5 points among Democrats, and down 8 points among Republicans." |
The surprising thing to me is that the Republicans in the house actually went 100% for what the majority of Americans wanted.
I encourage all readers to go to Melanie Morgan's Website to see her other informative articles.

Oh, I don't know about that.
Their goal is to turn America into a Socialist, Third-World Nation.
Looks like they're off to a good start.
Let's not get overconfident just because they look like a bunch of comical buffoons. I'm sure that Hitler and Pol Pot looked amusing to some people at the beginning of their "Administrations".

************************************************
You know, I’ve been thinking about the fact people mailed packages of pork skins to Schumer.. I think that was a mistake... we should have mailed them to EVERYONE, every single congressman and senator who voted for this thing, especially the three turn-coat republicans AND the White House.

Specter, 79, acknowledges his run for re-election will be tough.
What is it in this old p@ck@rh@ds make-up that deludes him into thinking that he is so important to America that he will run again at this age, with the term expiring when he is 87?

The very fact that Obama’s approval is rising among Democrats is frightening. It means that Democrats really ARE blithering morons. They not only believed Obama’s horse manure before the election, but they have no clue what it means to raise the federal goverment’s share of GDP from 20% to 40%—which is what Obama has done—SO FAR!!!

I would think the same concept.
Not letting the PTB tax us to death.
Here's a quote you are familiar with:
"God forbid we should ever be twenty years without such a rebellion. The people cannot be all, and always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented, in proportion to the importance of the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty. ... And what country can preserve its liberties, if it's rulers are not warned from time to time, that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to the facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure." Thomas Jefferson

The real Boston Tea Party caused 2 million dollars in damage and pissed off the King big time.
What kind of damage and who is going to get pissed off when "conservatives" meet to listen to some C&W music and eat some barbecue?
I'm all for protest, but until someone hurts these socialist bastards in an effective financial or political way this is meaningless.
What would be something American socialists hold dear?.
Find it and destroy it, and that would be a true Tea Party.

I agree, It would be larger than our GDP,in today's dollars.
>>What kind of damage and who is going to get pissed off when “conservatives” meet to listen to some C&W music and eat some barbecue?<<
Don't know what kind of damage can be done. However, if the protest is nationwide and big enough, it WILL get their attention.
>>I'm all for protest, but until someone hurts these socialist bastards in an effective financial or political way this is meaningless.
What would be something American socialists hold dear?.<<
The only thing they hold dear is power and more power. Cut off their power and they are less than paper tigers.
>>Find it and destroy it, and that would be a true Tea Party.<<
Like the original Tea Party, the intent was to START something, not be the be all and end all. It was a start.
The one issue I have with the article is that taking up arms is useless, the government would put down an armed rebellion. Not true, if it is a guerrilla war.

DeMint seems to have a backbone and would really be a hero if he pimp slapped Graham and called for President Raghead to produce his birth certificate.
As I said before, protest is necessary and the only way to get the ball rolling.
I have no faith in DC politicians to fix the problems they have created.
This will be solved at the state level, and the point of the protests should be to call for state legislatures to call for a Constitutional convention as per Article V.
The Congress, whenever two thirds of both Houses shall deem it necessary, shall propose Amendments to this Constitution, or, on the Application of the Legislatures of two thirds of the several States, shall call a Convention for proposing Amendments, which in either Case, shall be valid to all Intents and Purposes, as Part of this Constitution, when ratified by the Legislatures of three fourths of the several States or by Conventions in three fourths thereof, as the one or the other Mode of Ratification may be proposed by the Congress; Provided that no Amendment which may be made prior to the Year One thousand eight hundred and eight shall in any Manner affect the first and fourth Clauses in the Ninth Section of the first Article; and that no State, without its Consent, shall be deprived of its equal Suffrage in the Senate.
If we succeed in getting 34 states to pass resolutions calling for a Convention we could cripple the Federal beast and stop the marxists in their tracks.

The possibility of armed conflict between the citizenry and the military is non existent, the citizens and the military are one and the same.
Now responding to attacks by supporters of the socialist government is another matter, as long as they keep their filthy animal paws to themselves all will be well.
I am buying into the Tea Party concept as a start as long as the ultimate goal of the Constitutional convention is made the focus.
Nothing short of a Convention can take the DC politicians hands out of our pockets.

You have way too much faith in what a Constitutional Convention might approve, should such a Covention ever be held. Given the LIBs hatred of the Constitution, some of the results might be harder to take than our present fight.
How would you view a Constitution with no Bill of Rights, abortion an enshrined right, no Presidential term limits, and a whole host of LIB pet ideas? THAT is what most likely come out of such a Convention, dominated by LIBs. Don’t forget that they control the government, so they would decide who is a delegate.

Two words:

I'm not going to go into the whole argument against calling for a Constitutional Convention, suffice it to say that the liberals have been pushing for that for decades and will trounce the Constitution as we know it if a convention is called.
Voter fraud and cheating lying liberals in and out of political circles will see to that.
Here's a quote from Senator DeMint to counter one of your statements:
"The only victory here is for the American people," South Carolina Republican Jim DeMint said after the vote. "People responded to this issue in a very emotional and engaged way, which changed the minds of many people here in the Senate."
That was in 2007.
You go ahead and protest for a constitutional convention (you will find a lot of help from far left wing liberals), as for myself and many others we will keep working for the Conservative cause of defending our Great Constitution just the way has stood for over 200 years.
