They’ve done this before. It’s a no-cost way of currying favor with the President, with your base (presumably), and it get you lots of free media coverage.

Not to worry, (no sarcasim intended).

obama can only be (I wont and can’t say president) what he is, for so long without a country.

And the way this thing is going, we’re not going to last much longer I’m afraid.

A million people demanding to see the birth certificate is absolutely the angle for our protests. It could be quick and decisive. This should be a major component of our upcoming Tea Parties.

There’s going to be growing anger and calls for a taxpayer revolt. I have nothing against a taxpayer revolt except that it will get you 20 years in the slammer. We need to turn that taxpayer anger into calls for the birth certificate.

In the Senate Obama would have to buy only another 7 votes. (He got 3 Rino’s in the stimulus bill.) I could also see him getting 38 states by bribing the state legislatures with stimulus money, but to get to 291 votes in the House (2/3) right now would be extremely doubtful, especially after not one Republican in the House voted for the stimulus package. But if Obama and the Democrats were suddenly to up his complement of Democratic House members in 2010 from 257 to anywhere around 280-285 then it would get interesting. Thus not only is the GOP fighting to throw up roadblocks to the road to Socialism, it may also be stopping Obama from becoming President without an interregnum over the next 30-40 years, of course with the help of ACORN.

I’m not surprised or upset. This was proposed for Reagan and even Clinton by some of their more ardent supporters. And it won’t take the economy being in the tank for too long before Obama’s support tanks. No President has ever been elected with higher hopes, and there is no way he can come close to living up to them.

If I were re-writing the Constitution, the following term limits would apply: President, one six year term. Senate, two six year terms. House, five two year terms.

I want repeal of a couple other amendments, starting with the one giving the child of an illegal immigrant U.S. citizenship.

Then maybe the one giving women the vote...

Rather than repealing the 22nd Amendment, I would be in favor of a 28th Amendment Limiting Senators and Representatives to a total of 12 years in Congress period. Whether part of it's in the Senate or House it's 12 years total.

We have it here in Oklahoma, I think it has done wonders in getting out the entrenched powers of the past.

it will never happen

the US will experience massive voter fraud and elect a constitutionally unqualified marxist- it will never happen

americans will have their wealth erased in a vicious 6 month economic meltdown as their president encourages panic— never happen

america will deficit-spend itself into the hole at a rate of a trillion a month- it will never happen

a president will stand unchallenged as he discusses building a national security force larger than the us military- it will never happen

There is no need to repeal anything, the court can just do what they do with the 10th Amendment - ignore it! Besides term limits only apply to “natural born” presidents not immaculately conceived ones.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Just as they have done with Obama’s natural born status. If someone were to complain about Obama running for a 3rd or more terms, the courts would simply declare that citizens have “no standing”.
