Nightline's Terry Moran: Obama Took "Step Down" to Oval Office (Make that "Terry Moron")
rushlimbaugh.com ^ | February 20, 2009 | Rush Limbaugh

Posted on 02/21/2009 6:24:53 AM PST by Gordon Greene

RUSH: There's a blog out there called mediabistro.com, TVNewser and so forth, and the TV people read it religiously. I mean not too many other members of the public do, but it's big in the TV business. They have a show on there; it's a web radio show. Oh, by the way, the Wall Street Journal did publish my op-ed today. We linked to it at RushLimbaugh.com or you can go to the Wall Street Journal opinion page and see it yourself. Terry Moran of ABC's Nightline was the guest. This is what he said about President Obama.

MORAN: In some ways, Barack Obama is the first president since George Washington to be taking a step down into the Oval Office, I mean from visionary leader of a giant movement, now he's got an executive position that he has to perform in, in a way, and I think the coverage reflects that.

RUSH: Whoa-ho-ho. Yes, you heard right, a step down for Lord Barack Obama, the Most Merciful. He was leading this giant movement, a la George Washington. Now he's had to take a step down. What did I tell you people? He's too big to fail. Listen to this one more time. This is one of the anchors of ABC's Nightline.

MORAN: In some ways, Barack Obama is the first president since George Washington to be taking a step down into the Oval Office, I mean from visionary leader of a giant movement, now he's got an executive position that he has to perform in, in a way, and I think the coverage reflects that.

Yes, it does indeed. The press coverage of Obama certainly does reflect this step down to go to the Oval Office. I guess we can assume from this that Obama has made a mistake and that he would have been better served to stay as this leader outside Washington, this massive, giant movement rather than pin himself down with an executive position.

This sounds as if Terry Maroon has a bailout plan for Obama's failure as POTUS.

Obama the Oblivious was merely underemployed!

Obama is so in over his head that he must feel like he is looking at the world through his own butt.
His major accomplishment in life is to be chosen by the MSM to try and bring socialism to America. While a deciated socialist, Obama is nothing more then a foot soldier, he lacks leadership, management and intelligence to do this wiothout the daily aid of the MSM

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Where are all the so-called rich conservatives out there. Let’s poll 100 billion dollars or so, buy ABC/Disney and clean house. Create a news division worth watching. And after the fairness doctrine passes, tv and the internet will provided the only free forms of information to the masses. And I volunteer to run the news division for free to boot.

In a way his statement s reflects an attitude of disrespect for the POTUS office probably a holdover view from the "evil Bush" years.

Now knowing Obama needs to actually DO SOMETHING besides campaign and community organize, the MSM now actually have to report on his performance as POTUS, which I think is making them a tad uncomfortable, hence forcing the MSM to make the POTUS office seem smaller than the man because the man Obama cannot fail.

Look the corrupt MSM took a pledge, perhaps not in public, they have pledged among themselves that they will do everything they can to make the Obama administration successful. There is no critical reporting - at all - of Obama and his trillion dollar scheme that loots middle America.

You watch, as protests start to ratchet up, the MSM will begin to be even more absurd in their canonizing of Obama.

When I heard this, these verses came to mind:

Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: Who, Being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. Phil 2:5-7

The Word became flesh and dwelt among us. John 1:14

Now that was an incredibly reasoned disposition of the facts... (I’m not sure what that means, but I heard it somewhere)

I think you’re dead -on but I never would have made that observation. Exactly why I like freerepublic. I wish, other than Santelli there was such a sharing of wisdom and true free-thinking in the press. America might have a fighting chance.

Honestly, it may be his version of the “Terry Moron bailout plan.” Joe Gibbs is obviously a bad communicator that’s either over his head or doesn’t believe a word he’s being asked to say. After Tony Snow got the position, Moron figures he’s got a fighting chance if he sucks-up hard enough.

God knows, the press wants a piece of the bailout as much as any bank exec...

George Washington had plenty of "executive experience" as the General who lead our War of Independence

0bammay had zero executive experience prior to demagogueing his way to the presidency with the help of the mass media

“Buy the NYT. That shouldn’t cost more than a couple hundred bucks...”

The only problem with the plan to buy the media is that the government will soon own it lock-stock and barrel...

“The dissemination of information that’s contrary to that of the administration will soon face anhillation...” Gordon Greene

I’m so important I have to quote myself.

Congratulations Terry Moran, you have joined the “being a historically ignoramus dude and worshiper of a man who is lost without a teleprompter because he has conceal his totalitarian ambitions” Real Men of Genius club.

Awesome... I think we tend to underestimate getting our children off to a good start. You did that and gave them a good home to boot. THAT’S the way we’ll save the country and future generations; not with words but with God-fearing conservative warriors that know the truth.

We homeschool our boys... or “indoctrinate” as the administration will probably soon call it. I can’t remember the pastor’s name who said it, “We send our children to Caesar then can’t figure out why they become Romans.” but it’s unfortunately the truth.

Thanks for the reply and God bless.

This would be hugely offensive if the guy was actaully doing a great job.

But to have it said about THE least qualified, least experienced, least vetted, most anti-American and anti-capitalist ever to set foot in the White House, whose first month is a mixture of jaw-dropping incompetence, an amoral lack of integrity, and intentional wrongdoing and dismantling of our nation—well, Moron’s staement boggles the mind.

And small figures of Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Barney Frank and Chris Dodd in similar garb behind his left shoulder.

And maybe some Kenyan screed about him being ‘lord messiah hussein?’

Guys, I think that your vitriolic distaste for the MSM and the Marxist Messiah has blinded you to the kernel of truth in Terry "Moron's" remarks.

Granted, when he talks of Obama being a visionary leader, I want to reach for the air sickness bag too. But face it, Obambi has to actually govern now. And talk is cheap.

The question is, "how long can the MSM clowns prop up this idiot?"

Seriously, did the allegedly stupid George W. Bush ever use a teleprompter for a news briefing?

George Washington (Through other visionaries like Jefferson, Madison, Mason, Henry, Adams etc...) was precise plus direct in the “vision” and was unanimously elected to be President under the first newly ratified Constitution.

Moran defended his remark by saying “I said like only Washington, Obama came to office as more than a politician, a visionary leader for many. Now ‘s he's got a job.”

Obama has been ambiguous (As well as Moran's explanation both Washington and Obama believe) with his “vision” and out right conceals his true intentions which Moran totally gladly ignores (They know what Obama is about but refuses to inform the masses because he is “their guy”). That calls for all kinds of righteous “vitriolic distaste for the MSM” including the idiotic rumination of Moran's load of feces.

To add insult to hypocrisy, Moran goes on and says Obama has not/will not be given a pass. Really?

“Visionary leader of a giant movement” This is an amazing admission. He is probably talking about Acorn, which 0 dismissed as an organization with which he had only periphoral contact. On the other hand he may be describing the international Communist movement.
This is a very significant admission. It gives the lie to the notion that 0 rose from a local community organizer to world leader as POTUS.
What, Mr. Moran, is this giant movement and what was 0’s place in it?

Criticize somebody else's spelling, and misspell a word while doing so. I've done it myself; that's why I gave it up. Except, that is, when I see spelling gaffes committed while correcting poor spelling.

(And you can bet I ran this through spell check and verified definitions. I don't want to fall victim again, myself, lol.)
