“which is allowed to count only living people who are actually located and named, with no “estimates” and no fudging.”
I’m not sure we need an amendment, just a ruling by the supreme court. The Constitution uses the word “enumerate” with regards the census. Enumerate means to count or list. Estimating is not enumerating and if an attempt is made to do a census with statistics instead of counts it is likely unconstitutional.

I've listened to Michael Steele describe his ideas for conservative outreach to the black community, a segment that votes overwhelmingly democrat but is traditionally against abortion and homosexual marriage.
Do you still think he is a POS and a “moroon”?

If his stand is anti-gun rights he needs to go. I live in Maryland just outside of C.
I also have heard his position on outreach to others and he is dead wrong in his method.
We need to stand on our values and conservatives will find us.
I was waiting for him to say something about Porkulus BEFORE it passed, not a word.

Michael Steele publicly stated that he was against the porkulus before the date of infamy, 13 February 2009.
Do you still think he is a POS and a moroon?

It would make sense to count citizens only, but unfortunately the Constitution says to count everyone, except “Indians not taxed” (see the 14th amendment, sec. 2).
To: Jacquerie
You still refuse to address his position on gun control.
Why?
I already answered your question BTW.
His position against our 2nd amendment rights makes him and anyone else who holds an anti-gun rights position a POS moroon.

There is a subculture at FR that hurts our conservative cause. You typify it. The subculture believes that unless a person tows 100% of the conservative line, said person deserves not only no support but also crude abuse. It turns away the young lurkers who are perhaps suspicious of liberal propaganda and are looking for an ideological home. Your posts only support the Leftist view of conservatives as uncouth knuckle-draggers.
Rather than make the effort to convince others of their conservative ideals, the subculture hurts our cause through childish insults. They spend as much time tearing down the very men who work to spread the conservative gospel as they do on the enemies of our Constitution.
Steele is neither a Constitutional conservative nor a Rino. He is, as Ronald Reagan once described another, a friend who agrees with him 80% of the time.

It would make sense to count citizens only, but unfortunately the Constitution says to count everyone, except Indians not taxed (see the 14th amendment, sec. 2). It would seem with the "Indians not taxed phrase that the intent is to only count people subject to taxes. Since illegals don't pay taxes they shouldn't be counted.
