It’s mentioned a couple of times in the linked article. So, I want to know, “Is it true?” I’m not absolving the witch of anything! But,,, I want the facts to be correct.

I agree completely! I just wanted to know if that’s where she got her information, as they are claiming. Those two links above were all I could find, but I’m not too great with computers. Tried to go to C-Span earlier, and it locked my comp up solid! Had to unplug it.

A report by Ivan #1 can be totally worthless as Private Ivan #1 could be repeating the latest scuttlebutt being circulated by other Privates that may or may not have a clue about what is really going on.
Once that report comes from an intercepted, careless communication from one of the highest officers in the Russian intelligence services, it changes the entire character of the information.
She got the information because she is the chairperson of the Senate Intelligence Committee.

I think I understand where you are coming from. I said, "think." My point is EVERYONE who has at any time/point revealed the information in question is culpable. And any "insider" who revealed/confirmed what was made known previously by other or "lesser" sources is guilty of additional, more serious offenses.
Intel: I happen upon or obtain the information on my own.
Espionage/treason/aiding and abetting: Someone on the other side knowingly reveals or furnishes that information to me.
I do not care if the source is the local crackhead “snitch” in a holding cell, the local librarian, or a be-starred general, the discarded carbon paper in the wastebasket, wall-scrawlings of the anonymous public restroom poet, or an encrypted radio signal that I grabbed with the latest and greatest in SIGINT technology. If it is fact, then it is fact; it matters not the standing/rank of the source or the sophistication of the conduit from which I gain the information.
“Degrees of truth” are like “degrees of pregnancy.” Either it do be so or it don't be so. Verify and cross-source away, but doing so makes no given bit of information any more or any less accurate, valuable, critical than it was “a priori.”
