Emanuel: White House not 'amateur hour' Jon Ward (Contact)
Defending the White House in the wake of Sen. Judd Gregg's withdrawal as Commerce Secretary, Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel said it is not "amateur hour" and that the Obama administration is still doing better than President Clinton was at this point.
"Some may call it amateur hour. Having been in two separate White Houses, I'm more than — and within our third week given this set of accomplishments — measure them up," said Mr. Emanuel, who served as a senior adviser in the Clinton White House from 1993 to 1998.
Mr. Gregg, New Hampshire Republican, withdrew his nomination nine days after it was announced. The senator cited "irresolvable conflicts" over their conflicting positions on the economic recovery bill and on operations for the 2010 Census.
Mr. Emanuel said winning passage of the $789 billion recovery spending bill — Congress is rushing to beat a weekend deadline for getting the bill to Mr. Obama — will overshadow the bumps.
"I think the president has always indicated there will be days where there are setbacks, days where there will be disappointments, but as long as we're moving forward those will be bright days not just for us but in fact the American people, he said. "Let's be honest: will the economic recovery or Judd Gregg be a bigger discussion point a week from now?"

Let's be honest Rahm: If the press wasn't biased and you weren't permitted the luxury of daily conference calls with them....yes, Judd Gregg and 0bama's inability to fill his cabinet would and should be a discussion. Along with 0bama is using the 'economic crisis and porkulus to divert attention away from confirmation hearings. Away from all the questionable people of poor character 0bama is choosing. Indeed Rahm, let us not allow a crisis to go unabused.

I think what he is trying to say is, it is Amateur Hour. I mean, why would he say it if it hadn't occurred to him? He sees Obama up close and personal every day, I'm guessing, and by now he must realize that Obambi really is a babe in the woods.

I trust that the Republicans will take a sober observation of what's happened to two of them in the past few days in terms of their working with this collection of two-bit street hustling thugs. First, we have good ol’ Jugg suckered into a BS job and stripped of the census. And from what I read late yesterday, Menendez from the Dems announced that they have targeted Arlen (Judas)Spector’s Senate seat in the next election cycle, after good ol’Arlen sucked up to them and helped pass the stimulus package.

To deny or defend such a statement makes it true for sure.
If the derissive claims of “amateur hour” at the WH have reached sufficient volume that Emanuel feels the need to deny them, then—I think—there is “amateur hour” at the WH.

Watching the media spin a 10 pt rise in the Dow as a “rebound” would be funny if it wasn’t so tragic. Watching the media spin the tax problems of so many of Onada’s appointment and appointment candidates as just “honest” mistakes would be ludicrous if it wasn’t so tragic. I mean, these are the best people The Messiah can find? Watching the media breathlessly report The Marxist Onada’s dialog overtures to Middle East terrorists would be laugable it wasn’t so tragic.
