It seems making big bucks at the expense of failing lenders was perfectly OK for FOB (friends of Barry) but it is not OK for current bankers to make anything over $500,000.
Obama insists limits to bankers should be $500,000.K
Gorelick earned an estimated $26,000,000 serving as vice chair of Fannie Mae from 1998 to 2003
The Clinton administration's White House Budget Director Franklin Raines ran Fannie and collected $50,000,000. Jamie Gorelick Clinton Justice Department official worked for Fannie and took home $26,000,000. Big Democrat Jim Johnson, recently on Obama's VP search committee, has hauled in millions from his Fannie Mae CEO job.
These figures have paid themselves impressive private-sector salaries. Johnson earned $21,000,000 in just his last year at Fannie Mae. Raines earned $90,000,000 for five years work at Fannie Mae. Gorelick got $26,000,000.

CNN has a beaming reporter on saying 59% of Americans support the "stimulus bill" up from 52% last week, as Obama has so masterfully campaigned for this bill. She is smiling from ear to ear, gushing in her love for Obama, standing in front of the White House. Isn't this marvelous?

Yes the same Gorelick who enforced the “wall” between agencies, ruining intelligence ops. The same Gorelick that was on the 9/11 Comission, if you can believe that. The same Gorelick that made $29,000,000 off of failed policies that bankrupted our Treasury. Get a rope!

Gorelick earned an estimated $26,000,000 serving as vice chair of Fannie Mae from 1998 to 2003 I couldn't help but whip out the old calculator, seeing that. It breaks down to exactly $100,000 a week, for five years.
I remember when the President of the United States' annual salary was $200,000.
Nothing could possibly have justified such outrageous compensation to Gorelick. Print THAT in the NY Times, and watch what happens.

Democratic policies:
1-reward failure
2-take no responsibility
3-master blame shifting
4-steal from taxpayers
5-vote personal raises
6-use taxpayers money to buy votes
7-break any law you want and then change them
8-pay no taxes unless caught

Nothing could possibly have justified such outrageous compensation to Gorelick. To bad that GWB and the Republicans who controlled Congress didn't agree with you. All of Washington is thoroughly corrupted. Obama might be a little more blatant but he is still swimming in the cesspool fouled by those before him.

You'll get no argument from me on that. As you said, DC is a corrupt and putrid cesspool, through and through.
I just don't know how much more putrid and corrupt it will have to become for The People take matters into their own hands.
If FR is any sort of reliable barometer of the mood of The People, that time is not far off.

Instead, the country's biggest enemy may well be the Washington establishment.
They're mostly liberal Democrats, to be sure. But the likes of Snow, Collins and Specter, not to mention John McCain and Lindsay Graham, and the other corrupt and arrogant GOPers also fit the mold.

I think you're batting a thousand today.
I have no doubt that the whole government industrial complex is one, big inter-dependent beast with one goal, and one goal only; feeding its gargantuan maw for its own survival.
You could probably eliminate 75% of the people involved in our government, and it would not only work just fine, but might even perform its constitutional duties - serve the people's interests, etc.
