a tornado estimated to have been about a half-mile wide tore through the middle of Lone Grove, ripping buildings from their slabs, demolishing dozens of mobile homes and snapping any trees and power lines in its path.
Those poor people. I used to live in a mobile home for a while, and, although I'm not afraid of storms, whenever a bad one would come through I got more than a little nervous.

Grew up in Oklahoma. Went with my Dad on mercy missions after tornados had hit a bunch of times. Never got over the devastation a twister could cause. Remember one small town wiped off the map completely....somehow people survived...people had storm cellars.
