Funds for this purpose were authorized in the Housing and Economic Recovery Act, signed into law in 2008. However, these funds were limited to state and local governments. Now House Democrats are taking the unprecedented step of making ACORN and other groups eligible for these funds: For a further additional amount for Community Development Fund, $4,190,000,000, to be used for neighborhood stabilization activities related to emergency assistance for the redevelopment of abandoned and foreclosed homes as authorized under division B, title III of the Housing and Economic Recovery Act of 2008 (Public Law 110289), of which (1) not less than $3,440,000,000 shall be allocated by a competition for which eligible entities shall be States, units of general local government, and nonprofit entities or consortia of nonprofit entities[.] (2) up to $750,000,000 shall be awarded by competition to nonprofit entities or consortia of nonprofit entities to provide community stabilization assistance [
] The House Democrats trillion dollar spending bill also includes $1 billion for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program. CDBG funds are given by the federal government to state and local governments which often contract with nonprofits for services related to the purpose of the grant.

Any Republican who votes for this....Tar and Feathers.
What happened to the FBI investigation into the massive voter fraud prior to the Liberal God’s election????
Obama knows how this game is played: ACORN helped Obama, so Obama is obliged to help ACORN. Dat’s the Chicago Way: what goes around, comes around with Vigorish.
Do what they axe you to do.

Excellent question... I’d like to hear the answer as well.
Fixed.
Looks like they will get two RINOS and a Dinosaur...Kennedy will be wheeled in to join the RINOS. Run the RINO traitors out of the Party.
I Believe it is Called REPARATIONS
We need to do something pretty spectacular in 2010 and we need to be right about this bill and its impact on the economy. Spending money on things like this may carry a political price for Dems later if it doesn’t reverse the spiral we’re in and we’ve already seen how well pouring hundreds of billions of borrowed dollars into this problem has worked in the past and they’re just doing the same thing. Porkulus may be the death of them yet. We shall see.
It's unconscionable that any Republican could vote for ANY bill....much less the Porkulus Bill--
that contained one single dollar for ACORN!
Best comment of the thread.
If any Republican votes for that bill with that ACORN sh*t in there................. I am so fing pissed off right now. Must take a break.
" Excellent question... Id like to hear the answer as well."
Those investigations are in the stack with the Birth Certificate investigation....and they'll get processed the same way...
Late breaking news...the Great Waygu orders all community workers to organize into labor unions pronto...
Kiss honest elections goodbye....
Don’t worry, even ACORN has limits to how often they can register the same dead voter.
I feel that no one in Congress represents me. My congressman was defeated by a liberal demo, and the senator who has an R after his name is mel martinez (fl). perhaps it’s time to just register as an independent. more and more people are doing that, because they are disgusted with the two major parties.

It looks like some people are waking up. Vote your beliefs not for the lesser of two evils. Vote Constitution Party!
