Beaumont, one of the 36 cities listed on the Texas stimulus page, is requesting money for a bus stops rehab. What's that?

Speaking of Beaumont... I know for nearly 20 years the section of interstate from Beaumont to the Louisiana border has been under construction in some way or another. I've never seen anything take so long... but, it is a democrat stronghold. I guess that's the sort of plans our Spiffy President has in mind for the nation road building ventures.

In Virginia, stimulus only appears in Dem districts. Alexandria, Fredericksburg and Hampton get over $100M each; Richmond gets zip.

These projects are not part of the stimulus bill. They are candidates for funding by federal grant programs once the bill passes.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Thats so the local state authorities can tweak the money to where they want it ,while negotiating with the DNC , and Obama.

Every Dem party hack in the country is incorporating new construction companies.

Vermont has 145 million, all slated for the City of Burlington. Not one penny is goingto any other place in the State of Vermont. Logic: Thats where Sanders, Lehy get all of their votes. The rest of the state can pound rocks.

This bill is patronage and socialism at its worst.

Why? We all pay taxes, but the money is focused to go to dems who supported Obama. And it also is designed to make America dependent on Government handouts.

Obama can go peddle his socialism elsewhere. And I am glad we are screaming blue bloody murder.

It will pass anyway, but the battle lines will have been drawn. At least that is an achievement.

This is the LAST DESPERATE ATTEMPT TO MAKE AMERICA INTO A SOCIALIST STATE

Forwardwd that site to my distribution. Funny, having to go to a government ‘watchdog’ site. But here we are.

1.5 million for a dog park(I forget just where)...employs 6 people, not a bad job if you can get it.

Pretty much the same for Illinois - nothing for (at least) the lower half of the state. I wonder if we can we become Eastern Missouri?

Okay sue me for being stupid, but just looked at the projects for TN. A majority are projects that should not come from the FEDERAL Government. The list looks like they should be taken care of local, state government. Also, does the Federal Government really pay for school construction?

But it ONLY lists projects/wish lists...none of the ACORN, feelgood expenditures. I want to see that information.

It’s going to be VERY TOUGH to track political payola. Much of it is probably there, disguised as something else. Digressing, I remember a “jobs program” for the city of Austin during the Bush I administration. Out of something like 2.5 million, about $400,000 went for actual paychecks to the target group. The rest was “ahem” administrative costs.
