Florida's Alcee Hastings has introduced a House bill calling for the secretary of homeland security to establish no fewer than six national emergency centers for corralling civilians on military installations. It is Orwellian-speak for national civilian detention centers,more commonly known as concentration camps.

That's a bit of a stretch. Following the link, I read the bases would be used much like the Superdome was during Katrina. A poorly run government disaster shelter for those too dumb or ill-prepared for an emergency? Yes. Concentration camp? No.

While it sounds outrageous, I do wonder why the EMERGENCY facilities would be on military installations?

If they have to build them anyway, why not on property NOT surrounded by fences and men with guns?
