A San Rafael woman has filed a product liability lawsuit against the Victoria's Secret lingerie chain, claiming the Chinese-made bras and underwear she bought at the Terra Linda store caused her a rash and blisters.
Deborah Keck is seeking unspecified compensatory and punitive damages for emotional distress, pain and suffering, hospital and medical expenses, permanent scarring and chronic discomfort, according to the lawsuit in Marin Superior Court.
Keck also is claiming wage losses because she needed to visit the doctor about 15 times, keeping her from her job as a flight attendant.
According to the lawsuit, Keck has shopped at Victoria's Secret since 1987. In late January 2007, she bought three bras and several undergarments from the Victoria's Secret store at Northgate mall. The items carried labels that said they were made in China.
After wearing the clothing "in a normal fashion," Keck claims she immediately developed a rash on her chest.
"This rash worsened, quickly developed into blisters, and subsequently spread across her body," the suit alleges.
Keck sued Victoria's Secret and its parent company, Limited Brands Inc., claiming the products contained some kind of chemical, toxin or allergen that caused the outbreak, and that the company knew or should have known about the alleged defect.

We need “proof” of her claims. If she’s not hot, I don’t want to know.
This is no joke. Some of the crap from China ia awful. If she washed the garments and they were still bad it is really creepy. Dianne feisetin and her hubby got even waelthier exporting american jobs and importing garbage from China.

She should have left the underpants on and she would never have had the rash.

I was just joking. But you are probably right.
I followed a young woman’s chronical of chemical type burns to her feet caused by Chinese made flip flop’s purchased from WalMart.
The images are pretty nasty but they are on her feet. Imagine that in your panty region.
The woman with the burns to her feet wasn’t the only one this happened to either.
I’ve never heard of one of those ultra-skinny models complaining.
