A San Rafael woman has filed a product liability lawsuit against the Victoria's Secret lingerie chain, claiming the Chinese-made bras and underwear she bought at the Terra Linda store caused her a rash and blisters.
Deborah Keck is seeking unspecified compensatory and punitive damages for emotional distress, pain and suffering, hospital and medical expenses, permanent scarring and chronic discomfort, according to the lawsuit in Marin Superior Court.
Keck also is claiming wage losses because she needed to visit the doctor about 15 times, keeping her from her job as a flight attendant.
According to the lawsuit, Keck has shopped at Victoria's Secret since 1987. In late January 2007, she bought three bras and several undergarments from the Victoria's Secret store at Northgate mall. The items carried labels that said they were made in China.
After wearing the clothing "in a normal fashion," Keck claims she immediately developed a rash on her chest.
"This rash worsened, quickly developed into blisters, and subsequently spread across her body," the suit alleges.
Keck sued Victoria's Secret and its parent company, Limited Brands Inc., claiming the products contained some kind of chemical, toxin or allergen that caused the outbreak, and that the company knew or should have known about the alleged defect.

must have pics to form an opinion...
Gonna need some pictures to validate her claims ....
OMG. Just return them! The world does not want to know about your panty rash!
Was it known that they were selling merchandise from China?
I saw her on Fox this morning ... TRUST ME ... YOU DON'T WANT PICS
I have had problems with bras and panties that were made in China. I think it may be caused by what the elastic s made from. Unfortunately, I have not been able to find any bras and panties that are mfg. in China.
When push up comes to shove up, the question I have is whether the evidence will stand up in court or collapse under its own weight?
She should tell her boyfriend to shave.
CVRS is nasty
China Vagina rash Syndrome
When are we going to learn? All that crap is tainted, the toys, the food and now the clothes. We need to meet these ships at the dock and send them back.
Is there a "not" missing somewhere?
I guess Prop. 65 can’t catch everything. The bras had Made in China on their labels.
Could be a formaldehyde thing possibly , per another incident in Ohio last year
ROFLOL.... yep, you are right it should have read ‘not’ mfg. in China.
Without pictures this thread is useless!
This would work at DU and KOS but not at FR dag nabbit!
We are confident heterosexuals!
I remember a Reader’s Digest article from a loooooooooooong time ago that talked about how a bale of blue jeans was transported next to a leaking pesticide container, resulting in the tragic death of some children. The quick lesson learned was ALWAYS WASH CLOTHING BEFORE WEARING. Now, I don’t know if common sense is a viable defense for the VS gals, but it would be in my courtroom if I had one.
