Defusing the Rahm Bomb
Humanevents.com ^ | Jan. 29 2009 | Fran Coombs

So maybe the time Rodney King was hoping for has arrived at last. Maybe now we all can just get along.

Witness The New Rahm in action. Obama at a meeting earlier in January with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and others complained to Emanuel about his tendency to loudly crack his knuckles. “At which point,” The Times reported, “Mr. Emanuel held the offending knuckle up to Mr. Obama’s left ear and, like an annoying little brother, snapped off a few special cracks.”

Now all questions aside about the propriety of doing that to anyone, much less the President of the United States, can you imagine Dick Cheney or Karl Rove doing that to former President Bush? What do you think Bush’s reaction would have been? I, for one, wouldn’t rule out him decking the offending party.

Obama’s reaction was not reported, but I’m sure it was in keeping with “the cool, collegial and deliberate culture of Obama World.” “No Drama Obama” remember?

I'm very interested in hearing what Blago will specifically have to say about Rahmbo during his 90 minute speech later today.

Bo is intimidated to say the least by Rahm.

Rahm volunteered for Israeli Military. He is a tough guy.

"Rahm volunteered for Israeli Military. He is a tough guy."

Afaict, he never served in the IDF he volunteered for Sar'el, which is a three week, civilians-assist-the-IDF program, where they live on an IDF base, wash dishes, repair machinery, do laundry, etc.

A worthwhile cause (wish they had something comparable in the U.S Armed Forces), but he did not serve in the Israeli Military.

Unfortunate "Bonus": he helped orchestrate the aracrap / rabin Oslo handshake on the WH lawn. Too bad he REALLY wasn't a smart Jew, or he might have pushed to have the Aracrap killed before he later went on the radio and gave the code word "quarish", which told the arabs back home that his handhake with Rabin was BS and it was time to restart the intifada. Thousands of Jews died after that handshake, some estimates saying that half of Israels war dead since 1948 occurred after the Oslo handshake...

Rahm Emanual - bad for America, bad for Israel.

So much treachery, hard to keep track...

At least Rahm served. He was in no position to control Arafat so don’t try to make him responsible for it.

Until we learn to fight the Islamo-Fascists by their own strategic method of deception, we will lose. Neocons did not have right strategy. Apologists do not have the right strategy. Re-Fighting the last war or re-negotiating the last peace treaty will surely not get the War on Terror moving forward again.

We all have power. Just use it.

I’m telling you I have a feeling he isn’t crying wolf. I was wondering why Obama would allow himself and all of his cronies to be involved in that mess and now I clearly see why.

So he is “involved” in the criminal complaint, without doing anything wrong of course. I mean he did investigate himself (sarcasm). However by allowing himself and his staff to be involved in the criminal case (without any consequences for them) he has then removed the ability for Blago to call them in the impeachment trial. So Blago is just sitting there with literally NO defense.

Add that to the fact that Obama had it put specifically in the Stimulus Package that NO funds were to go to Illinois at all as long as Blago was governor...

When has an individual who is still entitled to their fair trial been so singled out? He is blackmailing Illinois! For his own vendetta!

This man frightens more than I imagined. And I am (and who would have thought because I think Blago is a corrupt jerk) actually on Blago’s side here. Everyone, even sleazeballs, are entitled to a FAIR trial.

“at least rahm served.”

sounds like you’re on a friendly, first-name basis with rahmbo. one would ask that you call him and tell him to stop cracking his knuckles in other people’s ears and have respect for the commander-in-chief. also, you might ask him to stop abusing his authority by saying that republicans can go f’k themselves. but, then again, one can’t expect too much from an out-of-control adolescent with power.

best regards.
IMHO

Any scenario that ends with Rahm Emanuel in prison would be the best thing that could possibly happen to this country. He is Zero’s Rasputin. Unfortunately, it will never happen. Democrats are above the law.

Oh please. Bush wouldn't have reacted that way at all. And it depends on the meeting: a lighthearted meeting Bush woulda laughed.... if it were a tense serious meeting, the offender would have taken the request to heart and stopped.

What Rahm was doing was telling everyone in the room that bo is NOT in charge.

The joke is on the obots who think they can post garbage like this and get Freepers to come to bo’s aid against big bad Rahm. LOL!

Obama's cool exterior in the face of Emmanuel's seeming insubordination is nothing but a cover for the cold fear he had to be feeling as Rahm's intent was to remind Barry who is really calling the shots in the Oval Office. Rahm is there as an enforcer for the Chicago bosses.

N-i-c-e take.

I think the pained expression on Obama's face in that first hour in the Oval Office, as Rahm leaned over him, was VERY telling.

Obama knows Rahm continually tries to overshadow him .......Enamuel arrogantly stands with his hands on hips for official pics---just so he will stand out from the crowd. And it is a message----"you guys will have to deal with me--not Obama."

The knuckle episode is illustrative of a seriously disturbed sociopath. Pres Obama gets mega-attention, so Rahm cracks his knuckles to assure everyone and himself that he is The One. The guy NEEDS to be in the limelight.....he needs ego-boosting at all times.

It's nauseasting to think this guy was in our Congress. This two-bit guy is sophmoric....even without wearing his tutu.

Rahm has put out so many versions that it appears he is attempting to coverup his true activties in the IDF. Could be the Mossad does not allow public disclosure of their activties?

HERE'S THE LATEST VERSION OF RAHM IN THE IDF---Rahm never served in the IDF he volunteered for Sar'el, which is a three week, civilians-assist-the-IDF program, where they live on an IDF base, wash dishes, repair machinery, do laundry, etc.

RAHM GAVE OUT THIS VERSION EARLIER--- He was a civilian volunteer assisting the Israel Defense Forces during the 1991 Gulf War, repairing truck brakes in one of Israel's northern bases.

RAHM ALSO GAVE OUT THIS VERSION---During the 1991 Gulf War, Israel was asked by the United States not to militarily respond to the Scud missiles that Iraq was hurling at them..........and Rahm was in Israel to assist them in not responding militarily.

==============================

SOB STORY Obaba can settle these "Islamic smears" ONCE AND FOR ALL. Unbelievably Obama has not responded to the "Islamic smears" Rahm has had to endure (sniffle). Here's some helpful hints (depending, of course, on which version of Rahm's story Obama believes): Obama should obtain copies of Rahn's paychecks paychecks to demonstrate that payments to Rahm were NOT coming out of the IDF military budget. Cause if they did, that would wipeout Rahm's US citizenship (sob).

Ever-helpful Rahm orchestrated the Arafat/Rabin Oslo handshake on the WH lawn.

Here's a helpful suggestion for Rahm:

At the (ahem) "next" WH peace table confab, Rahm should invite the guy with 289 wives-----he takes a wife everytime Israel goes to the peace table.
