Just look at that fructose, all smug and evil sitting there.

It was a typo obviously. I plead my Constitutional rights under the 21st Amendment....I was drinking beer.

First of all some of my best friends are greedy Wall St. guys who ran their 85 year old companies into the toilet....so watch what you say.:-)

Secondly, we should all take personal responsibility for our decisions instead of letting fascists tell us what to do.

Eric,

A few years ago, when my kids were smaller, I actually uttered the following words:

“Eat your meat! Eat your meat! How can you have any pudding if you don't eat your meat?” (I had made some chocolate pudding for dessert that night.)

And you know what? I didn't say it on purpose — I mean, I didn't say it as a quote. I didn't even realize what I'd said until I looked at my husband who was nearly having an aneurysm he was laughing so hard.

I put that one down as “Sentences You Never Thought You'd Hear Yourself Say.” Here's another example I once said: “Billy! Stop hitting your brother with that pig!” See? Never thought I'd hear myself say that sentence, and yet...I did.

Regards,

PS: They didn't listen to us when we warned them about the smoker bans, did they?

LOL! Then there's the lesser known, but still insidious, best friend of fructose: Glucose.

Photobucket

It can really get ugly when those two manage to get together.

I can't decide which is more nefarious.....Wall Street types, industrial agriculture execs or fructose and glucose. Snarky says the conservative way to deal with these types is to tax 'em. I say that's lettin' 'em off easy and, instead, we should hang 'em.

That sneaky ring and it's C-1 hydroxyl group looking all innocent.

Snarky says the conservative way to deal with these types is to tax 'em.

We've seen how well those sugar tariffs have worked....

It's always the innocent ones that end up causing all the problems. Six carbon SOB's!

Some people would argue that sugar tariffs are justified as they protect us from poison and, therefore, should be much higher. Others think they're a matter of national security and that higher prices today insulate us from even higher prices tomorrow. I miss Wille....

Here’s the problem, you aren’t going to believe any evidence I present to you unless it comes from ADM.

It goes down to how God wants us to live, Cows eat grass. God made cows to eat grass. We feed Cows Corn. When we are feeding corn to cows, we are telling God He is wrong. Now you might feel fine about disagreeing with God, but I worship and Respect him.

Sugar is better than HFCS because it satisfies your craving for sweets for the same amount of calories.

So instead, I offer you an experiment you can do for your own and make your own decision. Go get some industrial corn and corn byproducts and feed it to your family for a week. No broccoli, string beans, lettuce, etc. Cut out the middleman. Get rid of sugar and feed your children HFCS as a sweetener instead.

Besides, evidence is hard, feelings are easy. LOL!

Why does that make sugar better, Oprah?

Here’s the problem, you aren’t going to believe any evidence I present to you unless it comes from ADM.

The problem is that you've got nuthin' to support anything you've said on this thread. If industry is evil it should be easy for you to prove it. I'm looking for evidence other than industry execs attending the same schools.

It goes down to how God wants us to live, Cows eat grass. God made cows to eat grass. We feed Cows Corn. When we are feeding corn to cows, we are telling God He is wrong.

ROFL! That's a classic. I'll be sure to share that with my pastor this Sunday and ask him to show me in the bible where it states that cows shall eat no corn. If he ever stops laughing I'll share his answer with you. By the way, do you like your steaks with lots of marbling or no marbling? Is it a good steak if it chews like leather? Does God only like it if you eat steaks that chew like a shoe?

Sugar is better than HFCS because it satisfies your craving for sweets for the same amount of calories.

Since HFCS and sucrose are made up of the same two chemicals, you'll have to explain how that's possible. Can you?

Go get some industrial corn and corn byproducts and feed it to your family for a week.

You keep bringing up industrial corn but never manage to tell us how that differs from non-industrial corn or why industrial corn is bad.

Cut out the middleman.

Why, because the grocery store is evil too?

Get rid of sugar and feed your children HFCS as a sweetener instead.

What should I expect when there is little difference between table sugar and HFCS? If the chemical composition of these two food ingredients is essentially identical, why is one good for you but the other is not?

Holy Grass Eating Cow!

That is the funniest post I've ever read! I used to feed my dog Fido table scraps. I hope I'm not doomed to eternal damnation because God didn't make dogs to eat chicken enchiladas.

“OK...but do you support legislation to force them to do it?”

I suppose not.
