Salt is a NECESSARY component to life.”

CO2 is also a byproduct of human life. Liberal Fascists want to outlaw that also.

I don’t know why they just don’t go shoot themself and get it over with.

Personally I’d be more than happy to have the amount of sodium in foods reduced at the factory level.”

Do you understand the difference between freedom and compulsion?

We are talking about food here.

Sheeeeeeeeeeeesh.

If you think it will stop with salt you delude yourself.

Much like rubbernecking at a 5 vehicle car accident, I can't get myself to not read it. I read it every day. Partly morbid curiosity to try to find out why anyone would want to "change" a great country. Think about it...in a war, you want to know your enemy. If I were brave enough to protect our country by fighting jihadists abroad, it would be called a reconnaissance mission.

I'm fighting the more dangerous jihadists here. If the enemy is going to tell you what their next move is, you have to pay attention.

The Problem is our Tax Dollars goes into subsidizing the really bad stuff making it cheaper (industrial corn and HFCS) and where the good food (grass fed beef, local farmers) isn’t subsidized leaving it only for the well off. And of course local cane sugar growers use the Government to keep Sugar prices artificially high.

Since there’s no way of fighting the Farm Belt to do away with the subsidies, the next best thing is to tax the hell out of the stuff that’s one step above poison.

This whole coercive health thing is madness. Frank Meyer the founder of the conservative movement believed that "No act is truly genuine, unless done voluntarily." I personally choose to get rid of the sodium in my system by sitting in the sauna and sweating it out after a workout.

The rest of your thesis about anyone choosing homosexuality can be saved for a different thread. I believe they were born that way. Just ping me next time the debate comes up.

I have no interest in man ass and there is no amount of torture at Gitmo than can convince me to not like women. But if I have to watch Will and Grace because my wife likes it, the liberal social engineering experiment would succeed in turning me into an axe murderer on a 5 state killing spree!:-)

You’re speaking a language and bringing up stuff I have never heard anywhere else. And I read everything. What are you getting at? I’d like to hear more.

Personally I’d be more than happy to have the amount of sodium in foods reduced at the factory level. It’s just insane the amount added to some things.

I'm with you, I do a lot of my own home cooking, and it just appalls me to taste a TV-dinner style meal.

But legislation is the wrong remedy, shaming the factories into cutting back is as far as I want these nannies to go.

And with the decrease in salt intake across the nation, iodine levels are dropping increasing diseases caused by the lack of iodine.

That's why iodine was originally added to salt, much like Vitamin D was added to milk. Easily processed by the body from those foods.

More from the government nanny.

The city isn’t going after the seasoning people add at the table or in the kitchen.

I'm just so over these nanny-freaking-stater Libs telling me what I can and can't eat. And IT'S ONLY GOING TO GET WORSE!!!

Really bad stuff? How is industrial corn different than non-industrial corn? Is only industrial corn bad?

Grass fed beef is good but grain or corn fed beef isn't?

the next best thing is to tax the hell out of the stuff that’s one step above poison.

One step above poison? What poison are you referring to and why do you want to tax the hell out of it?

You’re right. These left wing rags are only good for wrapping dead fish...and they do a might fine job of it, I might add.

But I stand by my original thesis...if the enemy is dumb enough to telegraph their next moves and plaster it all over the internet.....you have to as a General (Gabz and I are the General Patton of Nanny Statism on FR), it is our duty to warn the troops. It’s our job.
