The Jan. 18 fire that destroyed a five-bedroom home in northeastern Forsyth County has been ruled arson, though investigators still are trying to determine who set the blaze and why.
(snip)
An Obama supporter, Graf said she thinks she was targeted because of her political views. Before the fire, she removed a campaign sign from her yard after receiving a threatening note in her mailbox.
(snip)
According to sheriff's reports, she has been involved in at least nine documented incidents since September 2006.

Sounds fishy. I'm sure there are some folks in my country who might do such a thing, but my gut tells me this is a hoax
I guess time will tell.
I wonder if they were behind on mortgage payments...
Hinky.
I saw this story right after reading the about the lesbian school teacher who hoaxed her own kidnapping.
well insured I assume
That’s the first thing I thought of, too.
"I just want who did this to be found," she said. "They're not going to find them, but maybe they will."
Hmmm...
Graf said she put a for sale sign in her yard last summer for about a week to "get a reaction" out of her kids, but had no plans of actually selling the home.
Homes aren't selling well here; tons of inventory, they're still building some houses in her price range. Several of my neighbors have taken their homes off the market in the last 6 months. My next door neighbor had to drop his asking price signficantly to sell his house this summer.
Hoax, I think. The woman sounds like a nut case.
“According to sheriff’s reports, she has been involved in at least nine documented incidents since September 2006”
LOL
How many of these reported events involved a second party?
She probably started the fire herself.
Remember: every time you vote Republican, a black church burns....
I guess hanging a noose on your own door just doesn’t deliver a big enough impact anymore.
Her cat was a murder victim? How can a cat be a murder victim?

OMG She's an Obamazombie!!!
She is guilty. Just another fake hate crime. I hope they investigate and fry her stupid ........
She burned her own house down.
I wonder how far behind she was on her payments?
I’ll bet you she had all of her pictures and treasured personal items stored at her mom’s.
Oooo yea... Arson and Insurance Fraud will get ya 10 years in the slammer. Oh, and I doubt they could fry her any more stupid than she already is.
I like the “Yes We Can” guy!
“”I just want who did this to be found,” she said. “They’re not going to find them, but maybe they will.””
Wanna bet her name is at the top of the sheriff’s list of suspects?
A friend lives farther up the lake in the next county and she told me a while back that property values there were down 20-25% and nothing was selling.
Shouldn't a fake hate crime be a hate crime too? I wonder if they'll start prosecuting the fakers for hating another race, and committing a crime in the process of blaming that race.
Of course. I was reading a digg.com(?) "discussion" of this story, and the posters were already convinced that some evil racist georgia redneck did this, that white southerners are incorrigible racists, and no mention at all of the many "hate crimes" that turn out to be hoaxes. If this incident turns out to be a hoax, I doubt those people will ever care enough to find out.
She said her children, ages 11, 14 and 17, did not make the trip with her and stayed with family instead.
In another local story:
Graf has three children ages 11, 14 and 17. According to Forsyth County Superior Court records, they live with their father.
The fire occurred about 4:30 a.m. Jan. 18 and burned the nearly 3,000-square-foot home to the ground. County tax records list the total value of the house at $255,490.
What a coincidence that this was done when no one was in the home.
Quite a large house for one person.
Or if they refinanced at the height of the real estate boom, had the house insured at the peak price, and now realized the house was worth more burnt?
“It reminds me of the man who drowned trying to swim the river. He just stole more chains than he could swim with” the sheriff replied
