"Deadly assault weapons have no place in Massachusetts. These guns are not made for recreation or self-defense. They are instruments of destruction with the sole purpose of hunting down and killing people." - Mitt Romney, the day he signed the Massachusetts "assault" weapons ban

You can dress it up any way you want, and trot out any number of so-called "conservative" leaders he's bought off (that's one of his specialties) but you can't spin away the meaning of the words above.

"The firearms reform bill signed by Governor Romney in 2004 had the endorsement of the NRA"

Anyone who believes this without a certified letter from the NRA is a fool.

Myth Romney has fabricated awards before which did not exist
and which he did not receive.

"Behind the empty gestures and deceptive rhetoric, Romney was not pro-life
or a defender of marriage by any stretch of the imagination.
He was a disaster," said O'Gorman, of the board for Massachusetts Citizens for Life.
He said Romney "deceptively" claims to have been awarded
a pro-life award from the group.

"The award Romney arranged for himself with the local Pioneer Valley Chapter
was the Mullins Award for Political Leadership, not a pro-life award
and not approved by MCFL's state board of directors," he said.
"We're blowing the whistle to warn voters…
"

No wonder Mr. O'Gorman signed this letter, eh?

I’m always amazed at your presumption in thinking that somehow Ronald Reagan’s shortcomings are an excuse for your guy’s hardcore leftism over decades, and his massive attempt to deceive conservatives in 2008.

Given Romney's history of lying and backstabbing, and
poor economic performance in public service, and fascist
history exceeding the entire DNC, why do his RomneyBOTs
get on their knees for him?

This is just manufactured outrage by no names looking to garner their 15 minutes of fame.

If they're "no names" to you it isn't a stretch to imagine that you've never heard of most of them. And yet, you're able to discern their motivations. You're amazing.

Homeschoolers owe these compromised squishes you’re enamored of NOTHING.

There were quite a few legislators who'd you think of as RINOs who got Pa.'s home school law passed, and I bet dollars to donuts that was true in most other states.

But keep telling yourself that Ann Coulter is just not conservative enough for whatever political organization you happen to create and victory doesn't matter.

You’re amazing that you continue to worship a lunatic like Alan Keyes. He has the same mentality as Jeremiah Wright.

Sorry. I don’t owe the enjoyment of my unalienable rights to a bunch of generous liberals.

I don’t worship anyone except the Lord Jesus Christ. And your comparison of Alan Keyes to Jeremiah Wright says nothing about Alan Keyes and a whole lot about you.

Alan Keyes is a dear friend, but I’m not him, no.

The failures of Alan Keyes’s political campaigns says a whole lot about him and his supporters.

I’m sure no fan of Mitt Romney, but I’m not in favor of going after a publication that has been one of the consistent, principled voices of conservatism because of THIS. And I agree, Romney engaged in a very transparent campaign of deception which fooled almost no one. Let’s not mistake the very desirable impulse to avoid beating up on one another leading into a presidential campaign with the principled differences that do exist within the Conservative movement.

I am sure I differ on issues with other equally conservative individuals of principle, and I would not demonize them because of those differences. Nor do I expect to be demonized by them, or see those I respect, like Fred Thompson demonized.

This is especially true when every time it happens it is the same crew, the same issue and the same intolerance.

Jed Babbin is yesterday’s garbage, but why spread the attack to true conservatives like Ann Colter, and David Limbaugh?

Human Events has a rather bumpy record WRT conservatism that goes back before Jed Babbin though. ( and I hate their outrageous promotion of costly trinkets to their subscribers)

Ann Coulter is bound to bear some blame for the moon eyes she made over Romney, and the fact that she didn’t tell the truth about him. Both she and David were fully apprised of Romney’s record, I know this for a fact. Can you show me an instance of Mr. Limbaugh bringing those facts to the attention of conservatives?
