Blago on "The View"
The View via You Tube ^ | 01-27-09 | malkee(vanity)

Posted on 01/26/2009 10:44:05 PM PST by malkee

Perhaps it's just the female in me, but am I the only one who is beginning to feel sorry for Rod Blagojevich.

Check him out on the View Monday.

Apparently McCain isn't the only one Joy Behar wants to "have fun" with.

I think he has totally lost any grip on reality, and needs medical attention.

"am I the only one who is beginning to feel sorry for Rod Blagojevich.

I said the same thing a few weeks ago on another thread, and boy did the folks on that thread come after me!

He's not crazy! He's a sleazy politician well schooled in "old style" Chicago politics, and he's just tough enough to dare and play it out to the end.

The reason I felt sorry for the guy, was because he decided to play things his own way, and not by the rules expected of him by the Democrat bosses in Chicago, and that's the very group who put Fitzgerald on him. I'm also suspicious that the Obama administration is in on this too.

, I don't think the Party power players had any idea that ole ROD was smart enough to fight back, and I'll bet if they had it to do over, they would have tried some other tactic. As it stands now, he has the ability to really damage some of the big party bosses, as well as the administration.

This is going to be interesting to watch, and I can't help but be amazed at his spunk.

He may be a sleaze bag, but so are the very one's trying to destroy him; and perhaps more so.

You darn right I'm rooting for that little greasy goof ball!

When I think of Blago I think of Mandela and Gandhi, Tolstoy and Florence Nightingale, one of the great moral exemplars in human history. I am certain that it is only a matter of time before they have to award Blago the Nobel Peace Prize because he is so eminently worthy of the same award held by Jimmy Carter and Al Gore.

I think Joy Behar has totally lost any grip on reality, and needs medical attention.

I can't stand to even look at her without thinking of her reprehensible treatment of McCain and his wife as well as her constant belittling of Sarah Palin. She is pathetic loser and as for her being a comic, the only thing funny about her is that she actually thinks she's comical.

Hope he’s got facts and evidence locked up in a bank vault somewhere, with a letter sent to someone who can expose them *if* anything happens to him *cough*JimmyHoffa*cough*!!!!

This guy is a trainwreck, but I’m enjoying his press conferences and mindless wandering and breathless explanations (as well as Shep’s MST3K show at those times although others don’t care for the talkovers :-)—

Can’t wait to see all this play out. Could he possibly have goods on HolyO, which is why the One is trying to get as much crap passed or shut down as he can before he’s outed?!?

Very annoying woman. I've only tuned in to The View a couple times, (McCain and BOR were guests ), and it's obvious when she's uncomfortable. Arms folded across her chest, kicking her leg incessantly, and looking down more than at the others.

Borish and brutish one that woman is. I'd say she despises Elisabeth H for her looks as much as for her politics.

"You darn right I'm rooting for that little greasy goof ball!"

There ya' go. That's the takeaway. Blago is playing this 'presumption of innocence/I'm a victim' card well enough to keep him in the spotlight & use up news cycles. That's the key here -- keep him talking, talking, talking in front of cameras. When the pressure is really on, he'll give up Rahm and Triple J.

Not only that, Blago’s the perfect distraction needed to help the O’s divert attention in the media. The MSM is in lock step with this one as the 0 admin has barked its orders. As long as the MSM focuses the public on this situation, attention is diverted from 0 and his big part in the Chicago political machine, push into the state legislature (didn’t actually get the votes needed), ‘election’ to the US Senate, and ACORNing into the office of POTUS.

You´re crazy. This guy knows exactly what´s going on. He knows that he´s in hot water, but if he plays his cards right, maybe he can position himself in this to either get back at people, or lessen the damage.

count me in about the feeling sorry...he has not even been indicted...I wonder if the case will ever be brought. This smells like an attempt to force him to resign. Also, he can not present witnesses or evidence at the impeachment...it’s unAmerican.

I don’t feel sorry for him (or his wife, PottymouthPatty) but I do sort of admire his self preservation techniques. He (the Blogster) is hiding in plain site...he didn’t go to his Impeachment Trial yesterday...(IL news, easy to bury nationally) but he, instead, went on a public relations marathon to high visibility shows and news coverage. If he is out in the open...and millions have seen that he isn’t depressed, or drugged, or...anything...well it makes it harder for the really bad guys (I just see Blago as your avg. sleazy pol) to do bad stuff. Well done Blago!!! Continue your media tour...you must be making alot of peeps very nervous.

I do believe Blago is using the "Chewbacca Defense"

Photobucket

The Chewbacca Defense is a term for any legal strategy or propaganda strategy that seeks to overwhelm its audience with nonsensical arguments, as a way of confusing the audience and drowning out legitimate opposing arguments. It is thus a kind of logical fallacy: specifically, a red herring fallacy and non sequitur similar to argumentum ad nauseam.

We won't be seeing any 'suicide' notes from Blago. He's guaranteed that.

Of course he’s going to walk free. Impeached maybe, but free. They had to move on him before they could get anything substantial (actual money exchange) because they were about to unwittingly suck in a guilty Obama. So they end the investigation before the real shiite hits the fan and hope they have enough to nail Blago (the original target).

Blago’s is playing the game to get 12 women who feel sorry for him on the jury. He’s tainting the jury pool and his lawyer will make sure that whoever is chosen for the jury has watches Oprah, The View and other emotionally driven shows. Then he’ll play to their heart strings.

He’s as shrewd as they come.

The question is who won't bargain with whom.

I'd love to learn that Fitzgerald is an honest prosecutor with the guts to go all the way up to Mayor Daly and higher yet if necessary, but I'm afraid it's likely he'll bag high profile targets like a governor while protecting the real powers...

I don't know and it may be a year or more until his public actions expose him as a courageous hero or a complicitous crook.

Blago does not realize he has become a joke-—a laughing stock-—just the sight of those beady eyes and mop hair has become a huge joke.

HE THINKS he’s getting all this attention b/c he’s somehow resurrrecting himself in the public’s eyes.

He’s gonna be slopping down major uppers when the letdown sets in.

I think the guy is a very shrewed and well spoken sociopath. To a certain degree, he reminds me of Denny McClain who once had a radio show here in the Detroit area until he was sent back to jail.

Better yet, Blago is a combination of McClain, O.J. Simpson and Jeffrey Feiger.....
