I just saw a tv ad for what I see as "The Obama Show" on the National Geographic Channel. It appears to be inviting us to a "documentary" about obama being introduced to Air Force One.

It is clear to me that this "presidency" plans to be a reality show.

This is perfect for the "clap for my bowl movement" generation.

It makes me ill.

This illustrates how immature Obama is.....

Obama is supposed to be an adult, not a college kid.

Those same commercials for NatGeo's "Air Force One", show President Bush, on 9-11 and when he flew into Iraq.

I don't think the Obama part is intended to be a love fest for The One. Unfortunately, he is now the main passenger on Air Force One.

I’ve been fascinated by Hughes since I was a kid. I remember reading somewhere that he once wrote a letter to Nixon offering to pay for relocation of nuclear bomb testing in the Nevada desert because the tests shook the hotel he was living in. Nixon refused,Hughes moved to Bermuda.

These ads, however, were not shown when President Bush became president. There was no "awe" directed toward any other president as there is being absolutely beamed toward obama in regards to every and any aspect of the presidency. It seems, in fact, as though the media has never seen anyone become a president before.

RE Hughes: Screwball (and dead) or not, I may be in love: He told the senate,

“Let’s get one thing straight: I don’t work for you. You work for me.”

Wouldn’t it be fun to have that much money! It’s too bad that Hughes lost his mind: That would put a damper on things.

The stuff I saw, and I'm planning on watching the actual show tomorrow, although I might have to record it, showed President Bush in a good light, as a strong decisive leader.

However that's not to say that the media is not in the tank for Obama, but I think that is less so on such as "The Military Channel" where I saw the spot for the NatGeo show. Here's the background splash for the show on the NatGeo site.

That is not BHO there in front of AF1.

Here is the summary for the show to be aired on Sunday the 25th.

Journey inside the most secure aircraft in the world, Air Force One, as it carries the President through the confusion and terror of 9/11, a secret mission into Baghdad and a whirlwind diplomatic mission through the Middle East. With unprecedented access, National Geographic introduces you to the presidential pilot and the crew charged with operating this global command center in the sky.

BHO was not President on 9/11/01, nor when AF1 flew into Baghdad.

They do have video on Obama's first flight on their site. It's has all the clips, and a bit more, that you saw in the ad. But the emphasis is on the tradition that the pilot of AF1 is replaced whenever a new President becomes their responsibility. The current pilot is even shown saying something to the effect that "It's not about who is sitting in the chair, it's our responsibility to the office".

Of course it remains to be seen if The One is even eligible to hold that office under the rules laid down in the Constitution.

BTW, it's cold and cloudy here in Central Texas. But the troops are out in field training. I can hear the artillery or tank fire. Must be quite a distance away though, because it's not rattling the windows like it sometimes does.

National Geographic has been filming a special on Air Force One for quite some time. They have had unprecedented access to Air Force One on dozens of occasions to film and a crew was there when Obama rode for the first time. Obviously, they want to include this event in their upcoming special.

I'm truly glad to hear all of this!

I am not ashamed to admit that I'm entirely, and before-all-else, suspicious of all motives of any part of font size=1the media.

I see that I've jumped on this prematurely...but I'm still anticipating a spinning reality show out of this gig.
