Guess what’s happening to future liberal voters.
You know, I hadn’t thought of that. I only hope that this begins to open some eyes among the, not yet irretrievably insane, Dumb-o-crats.
How you plan on keeping that from happening?
What would happen if every single Christian patriot in America that believes that life is sacred and begins at conception filed a new W4 form on Monday morning at work that said "tax exempt"? Do you think that would get the evil British bastard's attention?
This particular funding issue has been a game of political ping-pong. Obama is not the first to do this. Clinton reversed the order after succeding Bush the elder, then Bush the junior reversed Clinton’s policy. Now Obama is reversing George W’s policy. If our next president is a Republican, the policy will be reversed again. In this case, it’s not so much an Obama thing as it is a Democrat/Republican party platform thing.
Evil British bastard? Huh?
And as far as filing those fraudulent W4 - good luck with that. Write to us from prison, won’t you!
Since our government is a representative one (and thank God for that), I see it as not merely my right, but my responsibility, to express my idea of how I should be represented to the appropriate persons. It is incumbent upon me, as a citizen, to not simply complain but to propose a useful remedy for my complaint, presuming,of course, that the complaint is justified which, in this case, I believe it is.
To that end, then, I will speak with as many capable and knowledgeable people as I can to gain their input in forming a reasonable, workable proposal to submit. I think it is safe to assume that, should a proposal be developed that has actual merit, it would be given consideration for action, and of course I trust that such a proposal would win the support of those to whose attention it is brought who are better able to initiate such action.
As a starting point, I would venture that it be proposed that Americans who oppose the use of their tax dollars in this fashion be allowed to opt out of doing so by election on their income tax filing or by some other means. People who object to their taxes being used in this fashion -- something that is a grave matter of conscience and is not necessary for the preservation of the country (quite the opposite, as a matter of fact) as is, for example, national defense -- ought to be recognized by their government.
That's my plan, for starters. Is a good plan? I don't know. I trust that much smarter people are already further along a workable path; but it is all I know to do and that is where I must begin. I fully expect that taking the first, meager step will lead quickly to those who are already further along in exercising their responsibilities as citizens of this great country.
Now? Planned Parenthood already receives decimillions of taxpayer funding annually from Title X, Medicaid, and who knows what other means, and has for years. What exactly is motivating your sudden sense of urgency?
We must be nice here, right?
We must be grown-ups, at least. We must govern ourselves according to the laws of our great nation, which, among other things, provides ample avenues for redress of grievances against our governmnet. Should such avenues by exhausted to no avail, we can consider "civil disobedience." But if we're not willing to take that first step that is available to us, we'll never know.
And shame on us.
