I’d be more inclined to believe Greg Craig is calling the shots. Zero probably doesn’t bother with such trivialities.

What? I'm shocked I tell ya!!!You mean Øbama didn't get a court order, a trial, and a conviction first?

Hope team Øbama remembers that when they drag all of those 'innocent civilians' out, the claims of 'they were terrorists, the pictures were staged' won't fly with for him any better than they did for 'W'.

Unless we missed an opportunity to kill some terrorists. Then it would be Obama's fault.

Two suspected U.S missile attacks killed 18 people Friday in Pakistan just east of the Afghan border, security officials said, the first such strikes since the inauguration of President Barack Obama.

And only five of them are "militants"!! Obama is acting just like Israel, killing helpless Muslim civilians. Oh, the humanity!!

I’m a little surprised ... But GLAD, anytime WE kill a few members of AQ, it is a good day ...

If he keeps this up, I might be able to hate him just for his domestic policies only ...

Credit for the kills should go to Bush. The momentum from his successful WOT will (thankfully) take time to wind down. IOW, we will probably see more victories like this one before Obama dismantles it.

Al-Queda and organized terrorists will be hard pressed to reorganize in 4 short years even with the "One" in office thanks to Bush hammering them for so long. Though they can and will rebuild, their ability to project force and keep leadership over their organziation is highly curtailed. The more Obama dismantles the WOT the more he will encounter an increasing curve of opposition from everyday Americans.

We will have a better idea about that if there is another strike within a week or so.

According to local people, three missiles hit a guesthouse of Khalil Khan Dawar in Zeraki village in North Waziristan, killing him and eight others on the spot. The compound was completely destroyed.

Khalil Dawar was reported to be associated with the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan of Baitullah Mehsud.

A security official told Dawn that four Arab militants and another four from Punjab were among the dead.

Soon after the attack at around 5.10pm, Taliban militants surrounded the area and stopped locals from coming near the destroyed compound. They retrieved the bodies of their comrades from the rubble and took them to an unspecified place.Villagers claimed that at least nine bodies had been pulled out of the rubble. They reported hearing the sound of drones before the explosion. In the other attack, two missiles fired by a Predator hit the house of pro-government tribal elder Malik Deen Faraz in Gangikhel area of South Waziristan, killing him, his three sons and a grandson.

Pakistan Arrests 2 Wanted Militants

TEHRAN (FNA)- Two of the most wanted militants were arrested by Pakistani security forces in a tribal area near the border with Afghanistan, a senior Pakistani official said.
Pakistan's Interior Chief Rehman Malik announced on Friday that security forces have arrested two high value targets in a tribal region near the northwestern city of Peshawar.

The official added that the security forces arrested seven militants during an operation in the town of Bara near Peshawar, Islamic republic news agency reported.

Malik told reporters in Islamabad that another high profile militant has also been killed in Mohmand agency tribal region.

He did not identify the militants but local media reported that Zabi ul Taifi, a Saudi national, was among the detained al-Qaeda suspects.

Taifi is believed to be linked to the 2005 London bombings.

Meanwhile, other reports said that US intelligence agents were in a vehicle near the place of the raid. Reports also said that helicopters were also flying when the operation was underway.

Malik urged the extremists in Swat to lay down their arms and adopt the course of dialogue for bringing peace.

slamabad, Jan 24 : With the recovery of six more bodies from the rubble of a house hit by a missile, the death toll in the twin strikes by suspected US unmanned drones in Pakistan’s northwest tribal belt climbed to 21 today.

This is probably the highest toll claimed by predator strikes in Pakistan’s troubled North and South Waziristan and most of those killed are suspected to be foreign militants.

On Friday, officials said, 15 people were killed in two missile attacks on different villages in the region.
