Interesting read.
Between the booing of President Bush at the inauguration, the comment by Lowrey about ‘when white does what is right’, Emmanuel thumbing his nose, and the over the top gushing fawning worship from the press, I have to say it is the most tasteless, classless, low-rent, pretentious, bottom dwelling inauguration I have witnessed in 50 years.
We have lowered our standards to the point where we will never recover. America is now a thugocracy, soon to be a full on socialist thugocracy.
I have to ask, WHY is is so great we have a black president? Why is skin color such an issue? It is terrible we have THIS GUY as a president, black, white, red, or purple.

I feel the same way. All those grinning, gushing fools, adoring their lightweight messiah. How easily he charms them, how cheaply they sell their allegiance. What the hell has this country become?
The only thing I caught was some NBC chick, I think she does somthing on the morning show. She asked a women in Uniform the military persons here seem to like the one. I turned it off.
I am stunned at the cult of personality.

Me neither. All I can think of is this passage from the book of the Acts of the Apostles:
Acts 12:21-23
21On an appointed day Herod, having put on his royal apparel, took his seat on the rostrum and began delivering an address to them.
22The people kept crying out, “The voice of a god and not of a man!”
23And immediately an angel of the Lord struck him because he did not give God the glory, and he was eaten by worms and died.
Once you relinquish authority over your life to people as sick and disturbed as the Clintons, people consumed with power and authority over others, you have lost your freedom.
The world is heading in the wrong direction and God help those that follow us and inherit this mess.
To the extent that I care, the election of a non-white man as President shows that American society has sufficiently overcome anti-black racism. This particular man is hardly the best choice for the job, but the fact of any non-white getting elected does mean that the excuse that non-whites can’t get a fair shake from the white man no longer applies as far as I am concerned.
I’d also add that slavery was a part of colonial America. Now who were the colonies subjects of?

I'm afraid Iran, or some extremist Islamic group acting for them, will disabuse 'That One' of his high minded notions in an extremely violent way, which will kill many more than died on 9/11.
