Given that the inauguration of Barrack Hussein Obama is now history, I thought I would share this article with everyone. It is a story that is pretty spot on about what is going on in our country right now.ce Cream & The Election
I got it from a teacher in the Nashville area.
The most eye-opening civics lesson I ever had was while teaching third grade this year.
The presidential election was heating up and some of the children showed an interest.
I decided we would have an election for a class president.
We would choose our nominees. They would make a campaign speech and the class would vote.
To simplify the process, candidates were nominated by other class members.
We discussed what kinds of characteristics these students should have.
We got many nominations and from those, Jamie and Olivia were picked to run for the top spot.
The class had done a great job in their selections.
Both candidates were good kids. I thought Jamie might have an advantage because he got lots of parental support. I had never seen Olivia's mother.
The day arrived when they were to make their speeches Jamie went first.
He had specific ideas about how to make our class a better place. He ended by promising to do his very best.
Everyone applauded. He sat down and Olivia came to the podium. Her speech was concise.
She said, "If you will vote for me, I will give you ice cream." She sat down.
The class went wild. "Yes! Yes! We want ice cream." She surely could say more. She did not have to.
A discussion followed. How did she plan to pay for the ice cream? She wasn't sure.
Would her parents buy it or would the class pay for it? She didn't know.
The class really didn't care. All they were thinking about was ice cream.
Jamie was forgotten.
Olivia won by a landslide.
Every time Barack Obama opened his mouth he offered ice cream and fifty-two percent of the people reacted like nine year olds. They want ice cream.
The other forty-eight percent of us know we're going to have to feed the cow and clean up the mess.

Earlier I thought that history will be kind to Bush. Now I think it will be very kind.

Subsititute, “ice cream” with someone else's MONEY!
No pity to it...just the truth. In order to move past it and correct it, we have to recognize it for what it is.

Also understanding that there is no way on God’s earth that he is going to deliver on all he is promising...nor does he intend to. He just wanted the power, position, and influence and will now go about his real agenda.
Yes, you must see what the problem is before you can provide a proper solution.
An alcoholic must admit they are an alcoholic before they will seek help. The same apples with the “ice cream” voters and those that want to stop this ideology.

Folks better be careful about what’s just below the thin sugar coating sprinkled on top of the stuff. My guess is that it stinks to high heaven and probably tastes real bad.
What I want next is those idiots that believed him to riot and ruin their own neighborhoods. Also let them deal with Obama in their own gangish ways ....

B. Hussein "We are a nation of Christians, Muslims and Non-Believers" Obama has retreated on several of his campaign promises through his advisors.
He has not retracted his, "We need a civilian defense force as large and well funded as our military."
This would be the American Stazi.

May be referring to the change over to digital TV. Heard he had put a hold on it for 90 days or something.
I saw this as a teaching moment with one in 4th grade.
We've been talking to this one about the election and how vile Obama is. I want to make sure it is understood what is going on. This was great!

There is another part, the part about those conspiring to fundamentally change this nation away from its foundational, republic roots. Those are the ones using the useful idiots who are looking for the "candy". That part is just as critical to tell.
it’s prob this stuff/story published much earlier....I was surprised to see the DJ headline at the time it showed on the ameritrade streamer.....not much non-stock news on it unless it is relevant to the stock market, esp when market is in session

About the seven hundredth clue for me was that botched oaf of office. Never in my wildest imagination could I believe what I heard. It wasn’t even all President O’bama’s fault. Then there was the speech, the poem and prayer, it won’t stop there, and that is all I have to say about it at this point.
I continue to be amazed at the numbers of people who should be smart enough to see through the con yet don’t.
Put another way, if you’re the 52% that is going to get the ice cream, that is one thing. You stand to benefit, and maybe the reason you’re in the bottom half is that you aren’t all that swift to begin with.
But if you’re pulling down 6 figures or more, you’re going to be taxed to pay for the ice cream, and your company may be regulated out of existence. And you’re probably somewhat on the ball to get a job like that. Yet these people are jumping up and down for glee. I don’t get it.

Just so, and a ticket to a circus might have been a more appropriate freebie for the illustration, but point taken.
Our republic has reached; maybe passed, the tipping point one of our founders, Ben Franklin, alluded to. Truth be known of course, the notion that even the greatest countries would fall due to internal weakness and decay was not coined by Franklin. Others preceded him with similar thoughts.
Gotta wonder if our current state of affairs really surprises anyone given the direction we've been heading for most of the last century? And like me, did you believe we might get a reprieve from falling into the abyss with the Gingrich "revolution"? I honestly thought the battle had turned and we conservatives might be able to reclaim our country and at the same time haul out the trash. The optimism was short lived. After most of the "Contract With America" was passed and soon after the following election cycle, the DC habits returned.
I'm convinced talking about our predicament will no longer solve our problem; may in fact have been true for a long time. Given the misinformed, or worse, indoctrinated electorate, a war of words will be won by the ones promising the most warm and fuzzies for the weak minded amongst us. If you'll recall your Bible, "Give us a king" is not a concept new to our time.
So, what to do???
Prepare for the future. Food storage, out of debt, plenty of ammo and the means to defend yourself and community.
More education of others, and more prayer.
Taking up the causes and issues of the day...actively being involved...in our communities and states.
More education, more prayer, more involvement.
Then, through it all, being still and waiting faithfully on the Lord. He will take our efforts and make them count as he will for His purposes.
I personally believe that He will not forsake the tens of millions in this nation who still look to Him and His Son...and He most assuredly will not from an eternal perspective...but I also believe that II Chron 7:14 is a promise that has not expired.

Several, actually about 25 years ago, I worked for a Lieutenant Colonel who gave out a monthly award of the “Sh!t Filled Twinky.” This was given to whoever told him something that looked really good on the outside, but as he pared away the layers he would find the real filling and it was not what the outside led him to think it was. The award was a plaque with a wooden “twinky” on it with a bite taken out. The outside looked nice and delicious, but the inside was brown instead of white. The winner was forced to display it at his work area until the next award was made.
OBTW - In the two years I worked for him I was never honored with having it.
