It should have been done a long time ago.
Good phrasd. Tolerably done, indeed.
Ha...here we go again on this thread....where’s Donna???LOL!
I agree with you.
Of course, those Maroons obviously know all the inside information from the CIA and Interpol to really be able to critique Bush..ha.
Also, they easily could run the Presidency from their lazy boys...Why, just one word from them to tell Mexico and our LEA where to go and those agents would have been out in no time!
Yeesh...I knew the Brainiacs would be on here.
There was a lot of pressure on Bush to pardon these men. There must have been a good political reason that Bush had to wait this long. Let’s just be glad they’re free.
It is very important to maintain our unhappiness in the face of getting what we want
I do wish he would have done it sooner. Let the lefties scream. He could have easily gone before the people and defended the position. When the public would have found out what happened, the lefties would have appeared even more whacked. (They are anyway....)
I am still taken aback at George Will's comments yesterday about Bush's successes and failures. (This week with Georgie boy.) He cited the Terry Schiavo case as a blunder by the Bush administration to step in and intercede on behalf of human life.
That left me speechless.
LOL!!!!great line... a real keeper!
and not a moment to soon.
Saw their wives interviewed live on FOX just a bit ago.
“I knew in my heart that he would pardon them. I have more faith in President Bush than many of the Freepers. He is a good man.”
He did not pardon them. He commuted their sentences, meaning they are still felons. Bush is a coward and refused to pardon them earlier so they sat in jail even longer. Politics played a heavier role than common sense and Bush and his federal prosecutor Johnny Sutton are to blame. This should have never happened in the first place.
“whereas a pardon does not allow them that opportunity should new evidence emerge. The point of my post was that I had “
Thre is no retrail with a commutation.
Thanks for your kind words.
God have mercy on us all.
Knock it off...
While I am very thankful and happy he did this, I think Bush is a an arsehole for allowing these two to stay behind bars as long as he did.
According to what the wives said on Glen Beck yesterday, they are still trying to get a new trial. If they were pardoned, a new trial would be a moot point.
