Bill Ayers, a Chicago resident and one of the founders of the Weather Underground, was turned back at the Canadian border Sunday night.

At least someone still has some standards.
Is Bambi next ?
Canada turns him back, but our university system takes him in. Speaks volumes about what is wrong with our country at this point in history.
Ain’t this something:
A former domestic terrorist who’s not wanted in Canada, but is welcome in the U.S. White House.
Have we really sunk so low?
Canada Ping!
Good on ya Canada.
Uplifting !!!!!
Maybe it's partial payback for poor decision making in the past.
Thank providence for our neighbors to the North.
bttt
Wow! He must be worse than we thought!
Yes, we have.
I thought our allies were supposed to suddenly love us now! ROFL!
Yes, keep him out. He is a threat. He is a threat to your children who attend university. That is what he is good at... influencing the youth for evil. Good going, Canucks. eh.
Shouldn’t he be on the no fly list?
Actually, many of Ayers' colleagues ended up hiding in Canada after the dirty deeds were done in the 1960s and 1970s. I'm sure the Canadians would prefer that the USA keep its garbage at home.
Anyone know how to ping the Canadian affairs list so they can gloat?
Guilty as sin; free as a bird, What a country (is the USA).
Guilty as sin; not admitted entry, What a country (is Canada).
I read a while back that Canada refuses entry to those with criminal records — which includes DUIs.
Go Canada!
Hire that BORDER GUARD as a Journalist . . . He does background checks !
Actually, Canada should have let him IN, and then America should have Kept him from coming Back.
Great White North Racism!
What’s he doing away from the White House anyway?
Oh, wait, that doesn’t start until tommorrow.
Ayers and his ilk long ago figured out that to really bring down the US, free market capitalist System they needed to get to the youth through the educational systems. Their call for radical revolution/kill your parents style action was seen as never working.
Looks like they are well on their way to success. Canada sees him as the infiltrator he is.
Good for Canada! Who’s next to refuse this home-grown terrorist?

"Kill all the rich people. Break up their cars and apartments. Bring the revolution home, kill your parents, that's where it's really at"
-Bill Ayers, New York Times, September 11, 2001:
Article: "No Regrets for a Love Of Explosives; In a Memoir of Sorts, a War Protester Talks of Life With the Weathermen"

That is what I was thinking too. At some point, and as it should be, his connections to radicals/terrorist will become a major issue. It should have become an issue during the election, but Americans today are too damn lazy to do any research and rely on 10 second sound bites from the propaganda organs of the dnc..
We have great northern neighbors (not including the lefties in Quebec). The Canadians have higher standards and also they have probably the safest banks in the world now. They do not allow mortgages to be handed out to anyone.
“If it were me I would have let me in.”
bwaaaaaaaaaa! Sure you woulda billy!
Good for Canada!
Wonder if BHO will try to help his buddy with this when in office?
Couldn’t happen to a nicer guy. Do you think Canada recognizes a terrorist when our own country has him teaching in university and our president-select plays patty-fingers with him?
Thank you Canada.
“I don’t know why I was turned back,” Ayers said in an interview this morning from Chicago. “I got off the plane like everyone else and I was asked to come over to the other side. The border guards reviewed some stuff and said I wasn’t going to be allowed into Canada. To me it seems quite bureaucratic and not at all interesting ... If it were me I would have let me in. I couldn’t possibly be a threat to Canada.”
They should have arrested him for being an INTERNATIONAL TERRORIST.
Shucks. I was hoping they’d let him in and then we’d refuse to take him back. And, then I woke up.
President Zero will appoint him as our Canadian ambassador.
Any one take that bet?
I really hope so. I also hope he is photographed while there. It would be interesting to see if Bambi associates with him. Get that on film too.
Celebrating my New-Found Love for Canada.
I’m taking Rush’s idea. We lost the election, and by a lot.
This is all so bad that all we can do is laugh, because if we started crying there would be no end to it.
Of course the Toronto Star thinks this is a travesty of justice.
Of course the Toronto Star thinks this is a travesty of justice.
They have instant access to any infraction you've ever made, so it's no surprise that Ayers was not allowed nor ever will be allowed north of the border.
BTW, the fellow that got turned back wasn't driving at the border, and lost his $750 he paid the charter company.
I was allowed entry in 1989, I had a DUI 3 years previous. I’m no expert in Canadian law but I do believe it is considered to be a felony, not a simple vehicular crime.
Exactly. At the very least it speaks volumes about what is wrong with our universities. If things continue as they are there is a good chance that higher education will go the way of the MSM and become a casualty of technology driven alternatives. If one can learn the same things online, in less time, with less expense, and do as well or better on standardized tests, the sanctity of a university education will be at question, and employers will also start to rethink who they hire.
Good for you, Canada!!
I only wish our Universities and the PE were so discerning.
Yes, they are the same newspaper that also want that other terrorist Omar Khadr repatriated from the prison in Guantanimo Bay.
Canada to Bill Ayers: “Take off, eh?!”
Canada can even refuse to admit you with a DUI/DWI conviction.
