The Des Moines Register, a Gannet paper, announced another layoff recently and today, the publisher said they would cut back on pages by merging sections. Classified ads will be published on four days per week, not every day and there are rumors that the paper will become a 4 page wraparound for a USA Today insert some time in the future. Just a few years ago, the Register invested many millions in a new printing facility and building, while keeping its antique downtown office at 8th and Locust.

America Newspapers and Media are all part of the propaganda machine. If you watch the tv media closely, all they do is read from the teleprotor machine. It’s all controlled; even the voting machines. Hitler couldn’t do a better job with the technology they have today.

This of all the trees that will be saved. No point in chopping them down to print red/yellow sheet propaganda and DNC talking points. I hope the NY Times dies soon because a millions tree a year alone will be saved.

I am proud to have played a role (however small) in bringing this bankruptcy about.

Isn't it nice to have a little power.

The Anderson (SC) Independent used to be conservative. I don’t know their current leanings. Ford, when he was president, gave a speech there - I think they were dedicating a new building.

Great news BUMP!
I want the Democrat newsrooms to DIE, and I want everybody associated with them to lose their jobs, their homes, and their families. For the damage they have wreaked on America, they deserve nothing less.

[I guess the liberals quit reading]

Newspapers down everywhere. I read mine every day and get angry at the editorials written by the newspaper editors. They are doing what the others did, trying to impose their views on the reader.

Then when you write a large editorial to the paper they want to ‘edit’ it!! I’ve had it happen.

Lib editors chase off conservatives - thereby losing half of readers and the majority of conservative business owner-manager ad revenue

Lib readers find they soon have nobody to debate in Letters to Mr. Ed

Lib publishers start cutting editing and reporter staffs to the bone

Heard Rush say McCain ran on the democrat platform today

Where did I see somebody write that long before the election?

That’s true, preaching to the choir becomes boring after awhile.

My newspaper is a joke, trying to pickup teen readers by the looks of it and teens don’t read the newspaper unless their picture is in it, lol.

Teens are too bust texting each other and playing games on X-Box

Since 49% of Obama voters did not know dems controlled both houses of Congress - I see no upcoming interests in even know any news about the democrat party

If Obama follow through and raises their taxes they may start to think a bit

[Since 49% of Obama voters did not know ......]

[lots of stuff!]

I started to mention it earlier but hesitated. Many of Obama’s supporters are less well off people and frankly, they don’t subscribe to newspapers. That’s why they know so little. I mean, even my newspaper does give some news, lol.
