Hmmm... I’m curious as to how you propose to “regulate” bisexuality, and homosexuality. Perhaps an addition to their clothing ala a “pink” Star of David. Perhaps a national registry of people pertaining to their sex lives?
I’m also curious as to how you square Conservatism with these ideas that it is the government’s job to protect people from themselves.
A change in screen name seems like it may be appropriate for you, as it seems that what you are proposing here is anything BUT conservatism when it comes to the issue of government interference in the personal lives of its citizens.
While I find some of these issues personally at odds with my religious beliefs, and my personal morals, I am MORE afraid of the government prescribing beliefs to others in a legislative manner. If someone were to turn this around and say that Christians, for example, should be “regulated” because of the “harm” they supposedly cause to “non-Christians” I’m pretty sure you (rightly) would be up in arms and livid at the prospect of the government DARING to tell you how to live. There is a reason our forefathers brought forth the concept of LIBERTY and made it a building block of this nation. It was NOT to force beliefs on others, but rather allow people the FREEDOM to choose their beliefs.
You may not LIKE what other people choose to do with their lives, but it is not right to FORCE others to believe as you do, either. What is right is to educate others, and share with them the REASONS for your beliefs so that they hopefully will come to understand the righteousness behind them. Even GOD understands this concept and it is why he created human beings with FREE WILL.

Would you prefer I just say that Blacks are on average less intelligent, less morally pure, and a greater burden on our society? They get VD because of their rampant immorality and childish irresponsibility(same reason anybody gets it). If Black ministers weren't such a bag of crap they'd be preaching family values instead of the claptrap that Whitey is holding Blacks down.
I remember when a Black minister said "No, no, we are not satisfied, and we will not be satisfied until justice rolls down like waters, and righteousness like a mighty stream. ... I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character."
Well Blacks get the VD like a mighty stream because the content of their character is dark not because their skin is. And the clown reverends who hijacked the civil rights movement after the true preacher was martyred are worthless idiots. Notice no KKK or Nazis are trying to shoot Jesse or Al. They are keeping their flock safely on the Democrats plantation. They insist a Black man is not equal to a White man without some affirmative action to make it so. King wanted equal education(desegregation) so Blacks could achieve. Jackson and Sharpton just want lower standards(affirmative action) for Black achievement.
America's Blacks are doing their best to get back to their heathen and primitive African roots while much of the rest of the world is advancing and dragging Blacks along.

I agree. The hip hop culture portrays promiscuity, drugs and violence in a “cool” light. Ever notice that most of the “artists” have an angry look about them? Also ever notice how when a talented young woman records a song they have a segment of the song with a “rapper” in it? Do they feel obligated to screw up their songs with rap?

Amen. I grew up in a poor area, and I can (and have frequently, on this forum) attest to the fact that poor people are poor because they do stupid things and make stupid decisions, over and over and over. . .
I note, Integrityrocks, that in your initial post, you stated that you are a judge. As you think back on it, how many of those who appear in front of you are repeaters, and how often do you think to yourself "God, how could they be this stupid?" I suspect that it's a significant proportion.

How do you tell a homosexual to quit smoking without offending him?
No need to have them stop.
Just regulate it as we do smoking.
Make them register, medical testing, etc.
