Gov. Phil Bredesen and Nashville Mayor Karl Dean are urging rejection of a controversial English-only amendment on the Nashville ballot.
They said they will cast early votes on Monday in the referendum election on proposed amendments to the Metro Charter, including the English-only amendment.
Gov. Bredesen and Mayor Dean will vote at 8 a.m. CST at the Davidson County Election Commission, which is located at 800 2nd Avenue.
Our TN Gov and the Nashville Mayor are buddies...
And liberal Democrats...
Our Gov has been kissing up to Obama for a job ...
Hey, Obama...
Take him...
PLEASE...
ping
PING
TN PING
Boy you were quick
LOL
Be sure to press 1 for English.
We don't need another to birth another embarrassment...
I’m so sick of these two self-aggrandizing buttholes. We, The People, pay the damn bill for these translators to create legal documents for people who are often illiterate in both Spanish and English anyway. Court dockets are heard on the basis of when the translator can be present, so a citizen can wait through all that for their damned convenience. And, by all means, make it as easy as possible for people who aren’t even supposed to be here to get all the government freebies imagineable. I live in Nashville and I’m burning mad about Bredesen, Dean and the rest of their ilk. Then, when they lose this vote, they’ll take more of our money to pay lawyers to challenge the “constitutionality” of it.
You live in Nashville ???

A young woman and her toddlers, 2, 3 were murdered yesterday and burned in a house fire here in Bradley County...
Her “husband” I suspect is an illegal alien...
Her mother’s boyfriend, I suspect, is an illegal alien...
That’s not in the news yet so I havent posted it ...
However the statements have been in “Spanish”...
And both guys have Hispanic names...
One of them works for a local Hispanic business that employs illegal aliens...
I’ll make sure it hits the fan ...
That’s not far from my home actually - 5 minutes on a Sunday, unless, of course, there’s a Titans game blocking traffic and being played in a stadium we pay for whether we want to or not so that all the profits can go to Bud Adams. I resent that every time I can’t get out of my own neighborhood because of it. One more thing to thank Phil Bredesen for!
Wait till you have to pay for his Versailles-style underground bunker...
DON’T get me started! Phil and his scams go way back.
Titans are playing Baltimore on Saturday. You’ve missed the best season this team may ever have with all that curmudgeonly attitude.
Speaking of Bud Adams: when he moved the Oilers here he was impressed with the University of Knoxville’s Volunteers and the abject devotion they draw from their fans.
So Bud brings it up to Fisher.
“The orange everything, the traveling across the country to attend games...and that nifty shortening of their name.”
“Jeff - we need a name that’ll really catch on if we copied that. Any ideas?”
I have nothing against those who like football and call me “curmudgeonly” if you like, but being forced to pay for a facility and its maintenance to serve a private business and its profits is the foolishness of government. I still think there’s probably a big chunk of that money in an off-shore account of Phil Bredesen.

I did hear some folks wonder why the team would be called the TIT-ans.
