The far left attack dog Media Matters for America is obviously unhappy with Ann Coulter’s new book “Guilty: Liberal 'Victims' and Their Assault on America.” published a 6,000 word compilation of a dozen alleged lies contained in her book which unmasks some of the left’s sleaziest tactics.
Media Matters, according to widely respected pollster Frank Luntz is “one of the most destructive organizations associated with American politics today … They are vicious. They only understand one thing: attack...”
Newsmax asked Ms. Coulter to respond to each attack on her meticulously researched book, and she agreed.
Here is each Media Matters claim, followed by Ms. Coulter's response, point-by-point.
Media Matters: Coulter claims that two black students who engaged in a hoax by hanging a black doll from a noose were "immediately praised" by "liberals," but the sources she cites do not support this claim.
Coulter: “Just because something is not footnoted does not make it false. I am one of the few writers who includes footnotes as service to my readers.
“But as long as you ask, among the praise for the perpetrators of the hoax hate crime was a statement by the president of Duke in a baccalaureate address reprinted in the Duke magazine. President Nannerl Keohane cited the hoax as a ‘protest,’ listing it with other admirable protest activities pursued by Duke students that year. She went on to note that in response to the protests, ‘“[p]rogress has been made.’”

The Media attack Ms. Coulter for hyperbole, an effective debating tool and something they use regularly with solemn face. What they don’t attack her for is her humor, another good device but, being absolutely humorless, they are unable to recognize.

If they hate it, I’m buyin’ it - simple as that. Besides, she is poignant, bright and funny. I can sit down and read them from cover to cover with no skipping around. (I can’t seem to do that with Noonan, Malkin, etc.)
You can be complacent, that's OK.
But when the left is so gracious to misrepresent a Staunch Conservative like Ann Coulter's new book and she gets to respond where millions of people can access it, many people whose lives are one continuous yawn will wake up to the truth.

It's not about people giving credence" to media matters that is helping to sell the books.
It's the opportunities that Coulter gets in the media to counter their lies and distortions that does that. ( Kinda like my post to you here.)

Media Matters is the most childish and snarky collection of individuals you will ever encounter. It’s hilarious how they breathlessly relate some mildly controversial opinion shared by Limbaugh or others as self-evidently scandalous. All non-leftist thought is a lie. The fact that the were and are real live phony soldiers is completely beside the point to them. They occupy a very “Alice in Wonderland” type place where truth is defined in a way no normal person would recognize.

Ann Coulter not only writes great books and columns but is unafraid to go on liberal turf and confront the leftists waiting to attack her. They usually fail to dent her credibility. Media Matters won't, either.
At this point in her career, Ann Coulter is hardly an unknown. Those of us who admire her intelligence and wit as well as her absolutely fearless attitude toward the army of leftists that try to destroy her and/or her credibility will support her by buying her books and reading her columns. Those on the left will reflexively and ineffectively attack her, as the Soros-funded website Media Matters has. They sure won't be purchasing her books, except to burn them.
No matter. Ann Coulter's reputation for truth and the guts to confront the liberals who try to discredit her with weasel words and twisting her statements (written and spoken) convince only the already-convinced. They are talking to themselves. Ann, while her audience is primarily conservatives, keeps getting the word out and incrementally encroaches on the web of lies that surrounds the leftist positions. She is doing a great service while making a nice living and, tangentially, providing conservatism with an attractive 'face'.
