Former Minnesota Gov. Arne Carlson says Republican Norm Coleman should concede to Democrat Al Franken in the U.S. Senate race.
Carlson says Coleman shouldn't sue over the results of the recount.
Carlson was a Republican governor who now considers himself an independent....

Carlson was a Republican governor who now considers himself an independent.
Sore lib idiot.
Carlson was a Republican governor who now considers himself an independent....RINO..............
So why didn’t this Carlson Republicrat advise Franken not to demand a recount in the first place?
The results are closer now than when Stuart Smalley demanded the recount and then further demanded that they keep “finding” Franken-ballots until he won.
Someone tell Arse Carlson to shut his yap and go back to grabbing his own ankles for the Democrats.
Carlson needs to shut it.
Did Carlson ask Stuart Smalley to concede immediately after the election?
He can say what he wants. Coleman should do as he should.
How about, NO?!
Yes, of course.
The Democrats *NEVER* concede when the vote is this close. Either the courts decide, or they keep having recounts finding mysterious “uncounted” ballots until they win.
I hope Coleman fights this one to the last - all the way to SCOTUS, if it comes to that.
The “results” from this race stink to high heaven.
Alre Carlson of course endorsed Obama.
I hear ya,, I remember when a MN Republican Gub was Republican to the core, now they aren’t even close. must be global varming... jaa.
there’s something about Gubs with first names
aRn(i)e :-}
“Carlson was a Republican governor who now considers himself an independent....”
Never heard of him, but I classify him as a liberal!
Stuff it, Arne!!
What’s he getting in return for this statement?
Sue!!!! Sue!!! The anti-American left has stolen the election so SUE!
Changing parties from the aught republicans (post 2000) to the Democrats is akin to changing uniforms from one side to the other.
....praise from the Liberals.....
Me too!! :D
Put Minnesota in with NJ and IL for the most corrupt states in the union. I never thought anyplacecould be as corrupt as those two, but now Minnesota is the official laughingstock of the nation.
Arnie was married to Barbara Carlson. Babs had a radio show that could induce headaches in three minutes. In fact, both of them could.
Why is it that in close or disputed elections, we always have these creeps coming out of the woodwork demanding that the ‘Pub concede? I have yet to see a similar situation where someone comes out for a ‘Rat to “concede graciously”. It is always the ‘Pubs that have to play the “good loser”. Well, I say f-that, I’m tired of it. ‘Rats are always urged to fight to the bitter end, and never concede. It’s time for the ‘Pubs to take a page from that playbook, and fight it to the end, which is what Coleman should do against this brazen, in-your-face theft of an “election”.
(OK, that's three words, but I'm quoting!)
So, why is Pawlenty, the latest Republican governor of Minnesota, apparently saying that all the re-counting was perfectly aboveboard??
At least, that's what I've heard reported. But the election review/recount stinks to high heaven!
Turncoat scum.
This is something I’ve never understood, and I haven’t been able to find a reasonable explanation either.
If it is acknowledged that with a sufficiently large number of votes, every separate counting of those votes will come up with a different result, why is the second counting (a recount) presumed to be more accurate than the original?
Or why stop at two? Why not a third count? And if the results of any two of the counts are identical, use that result. Else, average the three counts?
and any other version...how can I count the ways? lol, this just makes me so angry!
Hey wait a minute! California is the most corrupt state in the union.
“The results are closer now...”
So the law allowed Franken to demand a recount because of the narrow margin, but does not allow Coleman to demand a recount even though now the margin is smaller?!!
Normy is going to address the media in person at 3pm central time today.
Maybe old Arnie will bumrush the microphone in his old moth-eaten U of M sweater and ask for more funding for the U in addition to begging for concession.
In an odd sort of way, republicans could benefit more by having bozo the clown in the Senate than Coleman.
I agree.
So, whatever happened to Tim Pawlenty?
Didn’t he used to be somebody?
that ship was torpedoed by the S.S. McLame.
Will Steger’s dogsled team came to rescue him.
Tim lost the ability to cast a shadow on a sunny day.
well I’d rather this RINO finally be honest (I-liblite) than continue cowardly acting like he’s a Republican. And either way he’s still full of horse-puckey.
He shouldn’t sue? The HECK he shouldn’t. Stealing elections by voting fraud is still illegal, is it not? Best to put a stop to it and not bend over and let them do it. Again. Because guess what? They’ll do it AGAIN.
Now that enough Franken votes have been fabricated.
Actually...it's past time. Waaaay past time. We've been letting the DemocRats get away with too much for too long. I mean, look how long it took the government/FBI to go after ACORN. They waited until November to bother to investigate and start making raids for hell's sake! And what, exactly, was the result? Nothing. ACORN and the Dems managed to keep right on stealing and manufacturing bogus Dem votes. It seems to me that getting gung-ho about fighting them and standing up to them "now", after the fact, seems a bit futile.
So... Rats like Al Bore can whine and cry all the way to the Supreme Court, and Republican’s should suck it up???
Screw him... Coleman should use each and every resource available to fight this sleazy attempt to actually subvert the will of the people.
Carlson in Minnesota’s Jimmy Carter.
Franken stole the election fair and square, stop your whining!
We were ahead in three Senate races on election night and ended up losing all three after "recounts" and "provisional ballots" were added in. We lost a number of Congressional races this way, too, including my district. The 'Pub was ahead on election night and the 'Rat ended up winning when "absentee" and "provisional" ballots were thrown into the mix. Those should be outlawed. Any ballot not counted on election night should be tossed. Too much chance for fraud when all of these votes are added in after the election is over. It just invites abuse and fraud (i.e., ACORN).
It seems to me that getting gung-ho about fighting them and standing up to them "now", after the fact, seems a bit futile.
I agree that the silence from the 'Pub/Coleman camp during this whole "recount" process was deafening. Every time the 'Rats "found" so-called "lost" ballots in the trunks of cars and hidden away in rooms and warehouses, the Coleman people should have been screaming bloody murder. But it seems they sat on their hands and waited for things to play out, and are now on the outside looking in. I think it's worth fighting to bring the fraud out into the open as much as possible, but, in the end, like in WA state in 2004, the fraud will be allowed the stand. The so-called courts will wring their hands and whine that they don't have the "authority" to make things right (i.e., administer justice), and of course the 'Rats and the media will be beating the drums for the 'Pubs and Coleman to "concede graciously". He and they should tell them where to stick their "graciousness".
An election contest would expose this for all to see. We must understand how that could happen, and ensure that proper controls are in place to see that it can't happen again.
Otherwise, it will just encourage more precincts to stuff the ballot box next time.

Nobody should concede. This circus, along with the one in Illinois, provides some useful entertainment value.
Just like Democrats who won’t quit, neither should this Republican Coleman.
Not until EVERY VOTE IS COUNTED!
