Edgy snowboard graphics test liberal Vermont
By Aimee Picchi Globe Correspondent / January 5, 2009
BURLINGTON, Vt. - For Nicole Zarrillo, seeing a snowboarder with one of Burton Snowboards' new Playboy designs at a Vermont ski slope underscored the reasons why many Vermonters - including her boss - are protesting the new men's snowboards.
"When you really think about it, it's a young man standing on top of a naked woman's body," said Zarrillo, 38, an office manager for a nonprofit based in Burlington, also home to Burton's headquarters.

Do the Girl Scouts really want to get involved in this?
It’s a private business that’s operating legally.
They should stick to their own business.

Isn’t Vermont where that small town is where the local kids run around naked?
And if so, they have a problem with this because.....
why?

Are the women on the snowboards naked, or are the “good bits” covered. If the former, then showing them in public isn’t acceptable (and may be illegal). If the latter, then it’s purely an issue of personal taste (and any rules the ski resorts might have against such things).

I ran a quick Google search, for research purposes only, of course. You’re right- the boards show the models’ butts, but that’s about it- no frontal naked bits.

it's a young man standing on top of a naked woman's body . . . No doofus. It's a young man standing on a snowboard which is painted with the image of a naked woman's body. Lieberals are always pushing the envelope and then complaining when it comes back to bite them. I don't see the lower part of the snowboard, but by the way the girls are standing, I'm guessing that they are showing nothing more than a little flesh on their backsides.
Snowboarding is a sport dominated by young men. Young men love images of beautiful young women showing skin. They get to shock the phony feminazis as a twofer. Who would've thunk it? < / sarcasm >

When you really think about it, it's a young man standing on top of a naked woman's body... Well, no. It's a young man standing on top of a snowboard with a pretty picture on it. The only real conflict here is between toleration and political correctness. Liberals seem to feel that they have a monopoly on both. The twinge some of them are feeling on the issue is cognitive dissonance.

They do have that look.
And You can bet that within hours of this going public, the Playboy legal team is all over these guys, who are about to be shut down, justifiably.
You’d think these morons would at least create their own images, or pay for the right to use someone else’s.

"When you really think about it, it's a young man standing on top of a naked woman's body," No...that's the conclusion you come to when you do NOT think about it.
When you actually, really think about it, it's a young man standing on top of a photograph of a naked woman's body. Big difference.

Liberals and feminists like to believe that Judeo-Christian sexual mores and modesty were designed to empower men and control women and that eliminating them would improve things for women. What they don’t grasp is that those Judeo-Christian sexual mores and modesty were designed to control men and empower women. It’s one of the reason that many high-profile early Christians were women.
