The bodies of a senior Hamas leader's small children were today ghoulishly paraded through the streets of Gaza as the group pledged to avenge their deaths.

Nizar Rayan, his four wives and 10 of his children were all killed by in an Israeli air strike on his home after he ignored warnings they should go into hiding.

In grisly scenes, mourners held up the bloodied bodies of the children to the cameras in a clear attempt to blacken Israel's name and highlight its brutality.

Graphic images showed the young children's uncovered faces as the victims were carried by thousands of angry Hamas supporters during the funeral procession.

Rayan, 49, who ranked among Hamas' top five decision makers, was killed yesterday when a one-ton bomb razed his home in the northern town of Jebaliya.

A total of 20 people died in the blast which came on the sixth day of fighting in the Gaza Strip.

Israel's military says the homes of Hamas leaders are being used to store missiles and other weapons, making them a legitimate target.

Rayan, an influential preacher, had previously denied Israel's existence and was a known mentor of suicide bombers.

He even sent one of his sons on an October 2001 suicide mission that killed two Israeli settlers in Gaza.

They hide behind their children and families, then wail when they are killed or injured. Why on earth does anyone feel sympathy for the culturally insane animals, known as the Palestinians? It is hard for me to feel sympathy for them, but I do to some extent, for the young children who are victimized by their own parents. The kids there are used as fodder for the cultural insanity of their mommy and daddy. Dead Palestinian kids could be seen as merciful.

It did result in the ancient Israelites having no equivalent to the Palestinian problem. Moshe Dayan's big mistake was in not demolishing the mosques in Jerusalem and in not expelling all the Muslims from the captured territories.

I do not doubt, if the IDF dropped a 1,000 pounder on him at his house, where he has four wives and many children, that some of them, probably all of them there at the time...were killed.

I also have no doubt that the Palestinians and the Hamas leadership would parade their dead and mutilated bodies and body parts around to stir up ire and emotion.

But he was given a chance by the Israelis to leave (which, IMHO, he should not have been) and he ignored it and paid the price and brought it down on his family.

These animals think they can wage unrestricted warfare against Israel and her people and not get the same in return. Israel is in the process of educating them about that...amd, IMHO, it past time.

The will of the Palestinian people, who elected Hamas to power, must be broken, and they must be severely humbled for things to ever have a hope of changing. Tragically, but necessarily, you reach a point where the only way to do that is to take the war to them until they have had enough, just like we did the German and Japenses people in WW II.
