Could this be the most unvarnished insult to someone's intelligence in the recent annals of major network television? Here was Zbigniew Brzezinski, speaking to Joe Scarborough on today's "Morning Joe." [H/t reader Melody.]
"You know, you have such a stunningly superficial knowledge of what went on that it's almost embarrassing to listen to you."
It was Scarborough's exposition of the widely accepted viewshared by Bill Clinton himselfthat Yasser Arafat was to blame for the failure of the 2000 Camp David summit, that prompted Brzezinski's remarkable display of disdain.

That imperious old man should just STFU.
Excellent crawl capture ... why, it looks almost like a caption!
“Imperious”: perfect.
People should check out the video to get the full impact of the haughty disdain Zbig displayed.
Mika Papa Mika Papa Mika Papa ....
What IS it with all the Zombies these days? Hasn’t he been dead since 1992? Break out the holy water and garlic!
Yassar Arafat was an honorable man. That’s why he got the Nobel Prize like Jimmy Carter, Al Gore and Paul Krugman.
And HE did so well under Carter.............
Ironically, that is what Joe Scarborough will look like in 40 years. And Conan O’Brian.
He looks sooo lifelike.........
That guy looks exactly like Bill Maher is going to look in another 5 years or so.
2000
The Camp David II Summit ends when Arafat abandons the talks even though offered significant concessions by Ehud Barak.

Interview with Zbigniew Brzezinski, President Jimmy Carter's National Security Adviser
Le Nouvel Observateur, Paris, 15-21 January 1998 Posted at globalresearch.ca 15 October 2001
Q: When the Soviets justified their intervention by asserting that they intended to fight against a secret involvement of the United States in Afghanistan, people didn't believe them. However, there was a basis of truth. You don't regret anything today?
B: Regret what? That secret operation was an excellent idea. It had the effect of drawing the Russians into the Afghan trap and you want me to regret it? The day that the Soviets officially crossed the border, I wrote to President Carter. We now have the opportunity of giving to the USSR its Vietnam war. Indeed, for almost 10 years, Moscow had to carry on a war unsupportable by the government, a conflict that brought about the demoralization and finally the breakup of the Soviet empire.
Q: And neither do you regret having supported the Islamic fundamentalism, having given arms and advice to future terrorists?
B: What is most important to the history of the world? The Taliban or the collapse of the Soviet empire? Some stirred-up Moslems or the liberation of Central Europe and the end of the cold war?
Q: Some stirred-up Moslems? But it has been said and repeated Islamic fundamentalism represents a world menace today.
B: Nonsense! It is said that the West had a global policy in regard to Islam. That is stupid. There isn't a global Islam. Look at Islam in a rational manner and without demagoguery or emotion. It is the leading religion of the world with 1.5 billion followers. But what is there in common among Saudi Arabian fundamentalism, moderate Morocco, Pakistan militarism, Egyptian pro-Western or Central Asian secularism? Nothing more than what unites the Christian countries.
The post-Camp David picture of Barak having moved mountains and Arafat not budging an inch led to strong support for Arafat within the Arab world and an unusual degree of support for Israel internationally. Even at the millennium summit of the United Nations, a classic pro-Palestinian venue, Barak was the man of the hour and Arafat was under significant pressure not to destroy the chance for peace.
In response, Arafat decided to initiate a new round of violence. The U.S. might have been expected to respond with harsh criticism of the Palestinians, given that Arafat’s rejection of peace at Camp David had now been compounded by the launching of a shooting war. In fact, the U.S. moved in the opposite direction — toward strict “evenhandedness.”

It's obvious that Mika should've given her dad a case of Metamucil for Christmas. Zbiggy clearly showed he is full of compacted fecal matter.
Zbiggy is a typical Washingtonian, making a living off spewing drivel to the unwashed masses.
I’m surprised that Joe, my old Congresscritter, didn’t turn to him and say, “It’s only my respect and admiration for your immense age that keeps me from knocking your teeth slap across the studio right now.”.............
There was a documentary on “Zombies” on the History Channel last evening.......

Hey Zbig, from one Polish-American to another, STFU!
So, he’s evil AND stupid...
It’s a growing field of study, but the incidence of the Undead Among Us is being massively underreported by the major media.
Joe sliced him up pretty good too and he didn’t even get it. Mika, if it’s possible, seemed embarrassed.
Remember....bubba offered up Chelsea and still Arafat refused.
Joe’s revenge is the verbal bitch-slapping Zbig-boy’s daughter gets every day on the Scarborough show.
HHHHHHHHMMMMMMMM, wonder if he’s Caroline’s father.
They both have that same ugly gene.
He was the only brightspot of the Carter administration simply because his own personal vendetta vis a vis the Russians accidentally happened to merge with Americas best interest.
I don’t know where to start...
Post of the year candidate.
In the show, one theory is that a toxin from the Puffer fish is capable of paralysis in small amounts and death, if taken too much. The paralysis is so complete that the person seems to be dead, and some people have been pronounced dead after having ingested it. We had an Asian family die here on the Gulfcoast, Panama City, last year from Puffer fish poisoning.........
—Indeed, for almost 10 years, Moscow had to carry on a war unsupportable by the government, a conflict that brought about the demoralization and finally the breakup of the Soviet empire.—
Zbig has it backwards, here. A nation whose armies crushed the crack forces of Hitler’s Wehrmacht, and, if the “balloon went up”, would have reached the Ruhr in a week, should have made short work of a bunch of illiterate, goatloving tribesmen. It was because the Soviet Union was collapsing, that it lost the war in Afghanistan, not, as Zbig boastfully puts it, vice versa.
—What is most important to the history of the world? The Taliban or the collapse of the Soviet empire? Some stirred-up Moslems or the liberation of Central Europe and the end of the cold war?-—
Zbig is half-correct. It is true that the Soviet Union, with its thousands of nuclear warheads, 190 divisions, etc., was an infinitely greater threat to the existence of the United States than the “Izzlamofashists” ever could be. However, in the following paragraph ...
—There isn’t a global Islam. Look at Islam in a rational manner and without demagoguery or emotion. It is the leading religion of the world with 1.5 billion followers—
... Zbig ignores the true nature of Islam, and falls into the “religion of peace” trap.
—So stunningly evil, I can’t look at Zbigniew Brzezinski in the face.—
More like a combination of stunningly clueless and stunningly arrogant at the same time. No doubt he’s Mika’s dad. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree in this case!
When I saw that picture, an image of beavis and butthead appeared in my mind.
They want all unbelievers...dead. Good enough reason to exterminate them...globally.
I’m starting to believe David Icke! LOL
Maybe Joe was thinking about the old saying “theres’ no fool like an old fool.”
There we have a good preview of Obama's foreign policy vis a vis Islam. Meanwhile, the Taliban has completed its conquest of Swat in Pakistan. Pakistan doesn't care because the military supports the Taliban and, anyhow, it is too busy preparing for war against India. In Southeast Asia, the slaughter of Christians and Buddhists continues. The conquest of Europe is going nicely, thank you. And Africa, well . . . what can you say about continent wide slaughter.
Agreed.
No Carter official can speak with any credibility on foreign policy. Especially Z PIG.
Heh heh, heh heh...fire...FIRE!
I'm with you on this one, bro. Too bad our political leaders don't get it.
You are soooo right and we are sooooo screwed.
“an image of beavis and butthead appeared in my mind.”
That’s it! I was tryin’ to figure out who he looked like! Someone should change the crawler line to: “I am Cornholio!”

I am the Great Cornholio! I need TP for my bunghole!
LOL! I am not a B&B fan but I know enough to remember that.
