In an interview with NY1, aspiring New York Senator Caroline Kennedy states her case.
"I think that I have relationships in Washington that I would like to put to work," Kennedy told NY1 political anchor Dominic Carter. "I helped run the vice presidential search for Barack Obama. I have a good working relationship with him. I want to be able to be a part of the team that uses all my relationships."
Of reports that she had missed voting in several elections, Kennedy said she was dismayed to learn that. "There isnt a good excuse," she said.
The oldest daughter of the late President John F. and first lady Jackie Kennedy said, "most people dont realize that my mother loved campaigning. ... Because you just get to meet people and it is such an education." What would her mother make of Caroline trying to be picked by Gov. David Paterson to replace Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., in the Senate should Clinton be confirmed as secretary of state? "She would roll her eyes about the whole thing -- she was an incredible patriot herself and I think she would be really proud, you know, that I was doing this."
Of her brother, John F. Kennedy Jr., Kennedy said, "He would be laughing his head off" about her seeking office. "There is no doubt about that. Because that was the kind of relationship that we had, you know, he would be 100% behind me. He always was. And, you know, it would be great if he was here

That's for sure. Kennedys have always worked hard...
Poor baby
All together now..awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww my heart bleeds
When I heard that I thought there is a line that will backfire. If must really be hard to be born to a life of affluence and connections. These people are in their own reality.
Well, unless it be spelled with a "k".
Mr. niteowl77
Fair enough. If she starts doing SOMETHING worthwile, we’ll count it twice./sarc I fear it won’t be enough though to justify your senate entitlement you spoiled brat.
Swimming was always hard for me.....
What else is there, pray tell?
This Shlossberg woman is such a cad.
same here besides she’s an egomaniac & she certainly don’t need the money.
She thinks helping to choose Joe Biden is a great accomplishment, and she's dismayed by "discovering" her failure to even vote in the past several elections?
weird how any references to her family youfind that they are all DEAD
You wouldn’t believe how hard Teddy worked to get through the partially open window of a submerged Oldsmobile.
Oh, those Kennedys and their "relationships"!
Dismayed to learn that she missed voting in elections? Where the hell was she that she didn't realize that? Is she compos mentis?
Just like her relative Dr. William Smith, who enjoys forcing himself on the opposite sex.
maybe she could have dug up her Lord & Master’s Birth Certificate while she worked for him if she say’s what she is.........
Well, yes. And she had to work twice as hard at it too. It was real hard work, especially for a "kennedy."
Too many Cosmos at lunchtime over the years?
The liberal elite media has been feverishly trying to revive the Kennedy mystique long after it has faded from the public consciousness.
John F. Kennedy, Jr’s. death led to a transparent attempt to recreate the hysterical mass mourning and apotheosis that followed Princess Diana’s death. It failed miserably.
Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. has been cast as the greatest champion of the environment, second only to Al Gore in the quest to save the world from certain destruction. Outside of the usual academic and media circles, no one takes him seriously.
The recent crop of elected Kennedys—Joseph P. Kennedy III, Patrick Kennedy, and Kathleen Kennedy Townsend—have not and did not particularly distinguish themselves as legislators.
But above all else, the simple passage of time has made the Kennedy mystique and the myth of Camelot recede ever further from public memory. That era is now as distant from today as the Kennedy administration was from World War I.
The electorate who were enraptured by the Kennedys is mostly elderly or dead. Their children saw the Kennedys declining into mediocrity or worse. Their grandchildren are all enthused by Obama and say “Who’s Caroline Kennedy?”
Camelot will not be revived.
Backfiring is true.
She doesn't seem to know that she makes loaded, double-meaning statements.
WORK?
Yeah, Dims work hard at deceiving.
She is part of the lucky sperm club. The Kennedy legacy?
1. Grandpa Joe was a bootlegger.
2. JFK: Bay of Pigs, Cuban Missile Crisis, Vietnam, Nepotism, Shot by a leftist radical.
3. RFK: Shot by a leftist radical
4. Teddy: alki, killed a woman who was carrying his child.
5. Brother John Jr., ran a failed magazine - George; killed 2 women and himself due to being a bad pilot.
They need to go away.
This Shlossberg woman is below Sarah’s pay grade.
dismay: n. A sudden or complete loss of courage in the face of trouble or danger.
She's a Kennedy alright.
Dismayed to “learn” that she hadn’t voted? She didn’t know she hadn’t voted? She didn’t “work hard” enough to excercise her obligation as a citizen.
Give it a rest Caroline....we know who you are.
Agreed! I cannot even comprehend how this Ivory Tower shut-in is even in consideration. I think she could serve the public better by working at the local Circle K for a while and learning how to deal with the common folk a bit better. After what was said about the honorable, intelligent, and qualified Sarah Palin by liberals, this Shlossberg is a laughing stock as far as I am concerned!
Because they're 4x as impaired!
If Senators had to “work hard,” they’d all hire illegal aliens to do their jobs for them.
Twice as hard as what?
Of course she admires J-Lo. Both of them work just about as hard. Listen to the commentary track on some DVDs and you’ll here how hard these poor actors have to work. Some of them actually put in 12 hour days for a week or two! They even have to stand outside where it’s cold sometimes! LOL!
These are the laziest, most pampered and frankly the most worthless people in history. A plumber has far more value to society than Caroline Kennedy. You’d miss plumbers a lot more than Kennedys if they suddenly disappeared.
WTF does that mean?
That liberal arrogance for the poor black people in the slums...yeesh. You jerks keep them there!
I had friends at UNM while he was there. He had intimidating men, always black, to accompany him whenever he went out, which was pretty frequent for someone interning.
But my friends also said he was always surrounded by attractive women who were not the least bit bothered by his rape trial.
Huh???
Just how do you learn you missed voting ?
Unless she was too drunk to remember not voting
She’s no Kennedy, they’re good, saintly even, whatever you think of them, she’s an Onassis!
And always half as smart.

"Work, work, work. Work, work, work. Work, work, work. Hello boys, have a good night's rest, I missed you."
“I helped run the vice presidential search for Barack Obama....”
Wow! Great Job! You must be qualified.... /sarq
But I know someone who can help you! His name is Jack Kevorkian and....
Twice as hard for what?
Twice as hard for what?
(it needs repeating)
This womens only qualification is that daddy changed her diapers in the Oval Office.
We appreciate that.
Why should she ever? All she has to do is clock in at the foundation for a mid 6 figure income off of Joseph's liquor empire money. Beats working for a living.
I’ll remember that when I’m up at 5:00 A.M. doing work she’s never done in her life for a paycheck she’d turn her nose at.
What she does is not “work”. It may not always be enjoyable to her, it may be an obligation, but it is not work. Work is what people do to have food, shelter and the most basic of necessities.
I’m not saying rich people don’t work, quite a few do. That how they gained wealth or maintained it. I am saying THIS particular one does not.
