They're almost all gone from the Columbus area now. I left them in 1993, and got a real job.
Here's my wife's take on any Taco Bell drive-thru: If you're OK with the price, and you at least get the right item count, you're a winner.

There is a Marco’s Pizza near Krogers now. Also a Worthington Library branch and a Dollar Store. Can’t go into the Dollar Store without hearing Spanish chatter and the Wendy’s on the corner, with the exception of one or two caucasians and blacks, is entirely Hispanic...they even have spanish music playing sometimes in the kitchen. I used to live across the street in the Park Club apartments before we got the condo. The roofs were replaced by entirely Hispanic crews...not a single caucasian or black worker and the landscaping crews were entirely Hispanic. I asked them questions... “no englaise”.
Tell me this...am I thinking right...it is possible that, Mexican nationals, for instance, could have legitimate visas to do take the landscaping jobs, but would not have legitimate visas to do other work...like construction, restaurant, food processing, factory?
Also, I wonder if America would wake up if, for instance, all of the Hispanics we are so used to ‘seeing’ in these jobs were suddenly Chinese looking/speaking or Middle Eastern looking/Arabic speaking workers who had crossed into the country through Mexico or Canada, illegally. Imagine all the signage at Lowes and Home Depot...in Arabic! Would we just accept that as ok? Imagine our jobs being stolen by entire crews of illegal arabic speaking, middle easterners cutting the grass, building apartments, homes, shopping centers, working in restaurants... or worse, food pickers and meat processing plants filled entirely with illegal middle easterners...? Would we wake up then?
We are so often accused of being racist. ‘Illegal Alien’ is not a race. Would we consider a country invaded by illegal middle easterners, just hard workers looking to support their families back home? Would we accept $15 billion dollars in wire transfers annually back to the middle east? Yet when it comes to Mexican nationals, who’ve made themselves the most visible and who have massive pro-support behind them...it seems we are being FORCED to accept them, not inspite of their race, but BECAUSE of their race.
I’m going to mull it over and seriously consider getting back in touch with Jason Mrochek about starting FIRE Coalition here in Columbus...I’m not sure how much I can do with my disabilities...but I can tell you this, I’m tormented worse by doing nothing.
Looks like the big boys really don't want the great unwashed applying.
CITY COUNCIL ANNOUNCES APPLICATION PROCESS
With the pending departure of two members, City Council announced the application procedures to fill the two vacancies in January.
Between 8:00 a.m. on Monday, December 29, 2008 and 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 30, 2008 applicants must submit six copies each (one for each member of Council and one to be made available for media purposes) of a resume and a narrative of no more than two typed pages describing the issues and challenges facing the city of Columbus. These documents must be accepted and time-stamped by the Council Clerk in City Hall Room 231.
Applicants will be responsible for scheduling appointments with members of Council. Applicants may contact City Council at 645-7380 to inquire about the appointment availability of the members between Monday, January 5, 2009 and Thursday, January 8, 2009. Not all applicants may be accepted for appointments.

Whoa....am I reading this right???...even in COLUMBUS proper...city council members aren’t elected...they are APPOINTED...chosen by other Council members???? sorry but WTF??? can you post a link to where you found this so I can try and learn more about it?
There actually were three Council seats on the ballot last month. The incumbents all won.
The seats have already been decided from long before the person leaving actually goes. This "application" process is a legal formality. A big joke.

When I became disabled and moved from Toledo to Columbus, more than three years had passed while I waited approval for SSDisability. I had exhausted all of my resources, inheritance and 401k savings, so I had to go crawling to the dang office of Jobs and Family Services. I was THE only white person there. There were several young black girls with children and the rest...probably about 50 people in all were all muslim men and women wrapped head to toe and Hispanics. ‘Cept me and those girls...no one else was speaking English. My blood was boiling by the time I left. Thankfully, and god willing, I will never have to go there again.
What’s interesting about the mosque in Toledo...well, Perrysburg really, is that, unlike in Detroit (the Hamtramick area?, can’t remember) I rarely saw muslim families in the area and I was there for two years. I don’t know where they all live or come from, but that is one of the largest mosques in the country. However, amout a mile from that mosque is an area called Perrysburg Heights...truly a 3rd world barrio of run down houses with dirt floors and broken down trailers. But...the Toledo area, due to AFL/CIO/FLOC (Farm Labor Organization)being there, is HIGHLY active in all politics related to illegal immigration. That area is almost as bad now as it’s gotten to be in Lake/Ashtabula county.

I just had all those MS13 members arrested less than 3 miles from my home in Worthington and a good friend of mine who lives in Hilliard and who’s sons play soccer, says she can’t take them to the park near her home to practice because the fields are packed with what appears to be Hispanic-only leagues. I continue to see gang tags on utility boxes all around my neighborhood and won’t soon forget being asked by police to change the date of my Statehouse rally against S2611 because of the danger posed by the Latino Festival. Every single restaurant near Polaris, including fast food, has spanish-only speaking employees in their kitchens. I thought Cleveland and Toledo were bad, but Columbus and it’s suburbs are being overrun by illegals and if something isn’t done about it soon...we are going to lose our city. My worst fear is that if we don’t organize to fight this maddness, it’s going to be much more difficult to fight when some idiot comes up with the idea of making Columbus an ‘official’ sanctuary city.”
I was warning about the incoming invasion and crime wave years ago. There are many of you living in cities that were once far removed from this invasion who turned a blind eye to our nations number one problem. What say ye now? The US Department of Justice declared the Mexican drug cartel as the NUMBER #1 threat to our nations security. It is not Al Queda.
