A remarkable 32% of Americans choose Barack Obama as the man they most admire living anywhere in the world today, putting him in the No. 1 position on Gallup's annual Most Admired Man list. Hillary Clinton earns the top spot for Most Admired Woman, named by 20%. No one comes close to matching Obama in percentage mentions on this year's list of most admired men, based on a Dec. 12-14 USA Today/Gallup poll. By contrast, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin makes a strong showing in second place for Most Admired Woman, garnering 11% of all mentions.

To the winners belong the spoiled.
“The spoiled” have chosen their “winners.”
Ah, you got it.
We live in a “sick” society!
Quelle suprise.
So if Palin came in second does that mean the “far right Republican base” is pretty big? /s
Down South here there was a very vulgar phrase that used to be used more often than now. “Some people have a taste for Shit”.
If 32% selected him as the “most admired”, 68% did not!
But isn’t it amazing, the names that are selected? Most of us here would probably state that we don’t know anyone who would have selected ANY of these characters.
Excellent. It’s only down from here...
Were people answering these as a multiple choice, or just off the top of their heads?
No matter, BHO is not admired in this household. He is opposed as an enemy of freedom. His genuflections to the center are regarded as fakery.
And Saeah Palin?
And this is why america is going to hell in a handbasket.
Looks like Sarah Palin and “W” came in second. I thought Bush was the most hated man in the world.
Thirty-two percent is remarkable? LOL It’s really just a popularity contest unless they ask WHY the person is remarkable. Empty-minded fluff.
It's a simple case of name recognition...and like I've always said: "If she wasn't married to Bubba, we'd all be going "Hillary Who".
Palin is the "Opposite" of Hillary in every way.
Clarence Thomas, hands down. America’s greatest living hero (of course, even he takes a backseat to those, often nameless, who took fire and returned fire vs the enmies of us all in God-forsaken backwaters of Iraq and Afghanistan).
The ignorance (look up the definition) of so many Americans
continues to irk me to no end. It is disturbing.
multiple choice. Choices are here, scroll down please: http://www.gallup.com/poll/113572/Obama-Hillary-Clinton-Share-Most-Admired-Billing.aspx
WHOOPS. I was wrong.
Every one of those fine Marines and Sailors had to show a valid, verifiable and certified copy of their Birth Certificate to enter the Armed Forces of the United States. How ironic that their presumed new Commander-in-Chief seems to be exempt from that Constitutional requirement, thanks to the do-nothings on the Supreme Court and elsewhere in the federal court system.
If it’s true that Hillary and Obama are the most admired people in the USA, we deserve what’s coming to us.
Somehow "sick" just doesn't seem adequate."delusional" or "demented" would seem to be a better fit to the "truth on the ground", but are still inadequate.
I guess this means that Sarah Palin is the most admired Republican. More than Bush and McCain combined. But all the experts said she was a drag on the ticket. Curiously, I didn’t see Joe Biden anywhere on the list. I guess he just missed it. Also, Palin beat out Oprah for second place. Once Oprah hears that, she’ll probably pass 250 on the scale.
Lost a nomination that she should have won
Clearly recalls on more than one occasion fictitious events such as the Bosnia sniper
Described the economy of 2000 as "ship shape" even though the tech bubble had burst that year, which started a recession, and
Has stayed with a husband who cheated on her several times, humiliating her in the process
is America's most admired woman.
pretty much shows the american public is rock-stupid and only knows what they are told/instructed/insinuated by the media.
Leave Cheney alone. He had children to raise. The Vietnam War was not something he could do at the time. To call him a three time draft dodger is rather insulting especially from one of the best FREEPERS on this site.
Hey, genius, I wasn't talking about “Cheney” and besides, “Cheney” wasn't elected & reelected POTUS...
Clinton was ! and that is who I referring to...
gezzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...you better lay off the eggnog!
Hillary Clinton, the defeated presidential candidate....I am surprised they did not crown Sarah that way, as it is usually done..
A remarkable 32% of Americans choose Barack Obama as the man they most admire living anywhere in the world today...and only 4 or 5 per cent of those polled have been dead for years.
Wow! That's really interesting
I wonder if we’ll see “Sarah Palin, 3rd most admired person in world” headlines anytime soon?
probably not
Let us know when you master the English language.
50 other bigger problems and you point out something meaningless and stupid.
Bush was an alcoholic, you didn't mention that at all.
It is obvious from your posts that you hate mind altering substances (but not alcohol ... go figure). You hate them so much you choose to ignore several other actual relevant insults/charges/events about the said individuals.
Clinton: bought and paid for by China. Gave away US technology for campaign money. "Arkancide" Past and Present Associates die every month. Not to mention lying under oath, and extra marital affairs with numerous women.
Obama: Given a free ride by the media. Most liberal out of every democrat. Tied to leftist radicals who have blood on their hands of Americans. Tied to black extremists who feel America deserved to be bombed.
And you bring up "dope heads".
WTF is wrong with you (and the rest of America - they voted in Obama) that you seem to think that consuming drugs is the worst crime known to man. A large number of CLINTONS ASSOCIATES (25+ maybe up to 50) END UP DEAD ALL UNDER SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES AND YOUR BIGGEST COMPLAINT IS DOPE? OBAMA HAS TIES TO Rev Wright and the Weather Underground, WAS THE MOST LIBERAL MEMBER OF CONGRESS AND YOUR BIGGEST COMPLAINT IS DOPE.
God help America when this is the opposition.
Bush?
I wish you people would READ my posts before you opine!
I was TALKING about CLINTON & OBAMA....
Bush WAS not a draft-dodger.
shezzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I did. I’m commenting on the fact that of all the flaws of Obama and Clinton, you decided to name call involving substance abuse when their was fifty other reasons to attack them.
You didn’t say anything about Bush being a alcoholic, so we can come to either one of these conclusions.
(1)Substance abuse is a bigger issue than being a drunk. Drinking is perfectly ok, drugs are evil evil evil.
(2)Drug/Alcohol abuse/experimentation matters if the individual(the consumer) does not share your political views. If they do share your political views, their is NO problem.
(3)All People who have tried/used/addicted to any drug are evil people.
Again, of all the issues surrounding those two characters, you call them “dope heads”.
(3)
Someday I hope that you will let it go that Cheney did not attend the Vietnam War. He has done so much for this country and you find it necessary to bash him daily. Get over it!!! How old are you anyway?
Cheney?
You are the one who keeps bringing up Cheney?
My original post was about Obama & Clinton!
shezzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...
And I NEVER bashed Cheney, in fact IF you read the post CAREFULLY, I NEVER mentioned Cheney...I was talking about OBAMA & CLINTON!!
OBAMA & CLINTON!
OBAMA & CLINTON!
GET IT IN YOUR THICK SKULL!!! OBAMA & CLINTON!
DAMN! NOW QUIT BOTHERING ME!
