What I've been tying to discern about the Clinton Foundation is why -- aside from the annual fancy party in New York -- foreign governments, other foundations and charities have given money to fund what they already do themselves.
There were four United Way contributions, one from the national outfit, three from local branches. Since when is the Clinton Foundation one of the approved charities of the United Way?
Then there are more serious questions about operating charities. What was the purpose of a contribution by the National Opera of Paris? Or of hospitals themselves in strained circumstances, like Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn and Arkansas Children's Hospital?
The University of Cambridge and Liverpool University in the United Kingdom threw into the pot from the other side of the pond. American universities like Tufts, Columbia, Georgetown, Iowa State, Texas, Brown, Rensselaer Polytechnic, UCLA and its school of public health all gave, plus the University of Judaism with a whopping sum between $100,000 and $250,000. (Is Bill Clinton now supporting studies in theology?) Do these educational institutions have such deep pockets to share with Bill Clinton's ego?

For instance, our government giving money to groups like ACORN, NPR, GM, various unions directly or indirectly so they can -- what? -- push for yet more government spending for their pet causes?
We're in a corrosive death spiral here, folks.
“We’re in a corrosive death spiral here, folks.”
If more Americans would get a clue, understand that THEIR income and hard work is stolen from them in the form of taxes, too many to list here, and learn how to keep as many of their dollars OUT of the hands of Government, we could bring it to a screeching halt...which is a lovely dream, but just that; a dream.
Proof . . . Government, the culture of corruption.
“If more Americans would get a clue, understand that THEIR income and hard work is stolen from them in the form of taxes, too many to list here, and learn how to keep as many of their dollars OUT of the hands of Government, we could bring it to a screeching halt...which is a lovely dream, but just that; a dream.”
A dream? Stopping the relentless rise of government?
Well, Reagan couldn’t do it. Thatcher couldn’t do it. I fear Palin in power, even at her best, couldn’t do it.
We’re talking about human nature here — too many people who believe in a free lunch or who are more than happy to live at the expense of others. I fear we’re too far gone at this point. I’m hoping some great leader of Churcillian proportions will pull us out of this descent...
...but Churchill couldn’t stop it either. He won WWII, but he couldn’t stop the UK from going deeper into socialism.
...and they kicked him out of office after the war.
No, my “dream” is for people to get a clue that Government = THEIR MONEY.
But fifty years of dumbing down the electorate is working against me.
The KLINTOONS themselves — just like the Obamessiah — raise questions.
And we’re all — or many of us — are still waiting for answers...
I think it’s time all Americans received reparations from the Federal Reserve for time spent as tax slaves.
There is no question that the unconstitutional burden of financial slavery, laid on Americans when the income tax was dreamt up, was designed specifically to benefit a very few at the expense of the Many.
Those few effectively took control of our wealth and our destiny. It’s time for some change to come our way. (If that’s a pun, consider it intended.)
Since reparation seems to be a subject no longer rejected outright by political posers I say, where’s ours?
There is about a two-year lag time for the U.S. electorate to comprehend who is really shafting them. In 1992 the Democrats took over the White House with majorities in both houses of Congress. Their slogan was “End congressional gridlock” with one-party control. That ended in 1994 when the GOP took over Congress despite a highly partisan-Democrat news media. As long as Clinton remained in office the Democrats saw their power erode all the way down to the local level. Republicans continued to gain until 2006 when voters could no longer distinguish most of them from Democrats. I think another 1994-style "Vote the Bastards Out" movement is in the offing.
You likely are familiar with the information found at http://fskrealityguide.blogspot.com/2007/07/federal-reserve-and-income-tax.html
I like the way it’s presented.
Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!
